Thanks for the tour! I chose that Atelier Brunette print for a subscription box that used the Brumby Skirt pattern. I've made up the skirt, and I'm not sure it needs to be totally dressy, 😉 probably in the shorter length. It's got an exposed zipper in the back, and though it's gathered into the waistband, it doesn't have a 'ruffley' feel. I'll be wearing it with knit tees. Hold those peachy fabrics next to it 😉😉(it looks like you've got the same color as mine, too) I want a peachy or mocha tee especially for this fabric! I'm envying your collection of colored denims.

That sounds like a great fabric and pattern pairing for the Atelier brunette print! I honestly just worry that I wouldn't wear it as a skirt, but I'm glad you will be getting lots of wear from it! Hi Mel, love your vlogs! I see you have ordered fabric from Mood fabrics. I have a question about any duty you were required to pay. Could you let me know if you paid duty. I can’t seem to figure out when you are required to pay and when you’re not. Thanks! 😊

Thanks for watching and commenting! I have ordered from Mood several times, and I've had to pay customs about half of the time. It really depends on the amount you buy (dollar value), the shipping carrier, and other factors. I can't say for sure if you will have customs, but I can say that my smaller orders (under 100$) did not get any customs! Happy sewing!

So far, I have had good luck selling on facebook marketplace. I have seen others selling on instagram! There are also several facebook groups dedicated to buying/selling fabric (across Canada if you are comfortable shipping, or locally in Toronto). Of course, selling online is more time intensive because you have to take pictures and make a listing and everything. Goodluck with your destashing!
