This is so encouraging to hear. I love how genuine and transparent you are. It makes this whole learning the military thing a little easier. My fiancé just had his one year since joining and I have been watching videos about military here and there. It’s a lot to learn but it all comes in time. It’s nice to know you aren’t alone. I hope God continues to bless Conner and yours marriage 😊

Thanks for posting this Brittani! My boyfriend and I started dating 3 weeks before he shipped out for Bootcamp and just like you I didn’t know ANYTHING about the military and was just kinda thrown into the chaos. When he was in Bootcamp I felt so alone so I got on KZbin and looked up videos and found you! And you’ve been someone I’ve watched consistently this past year and you always make me feel not so alone anymore! We’re coming up on year in June since he’s been in the military and we’re actually going to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary in a few weeks! He’s stationed in Washington too right now so I’ll be coming out to visit him! Thanks for everything you do!! 💓💓💓

My marriage is currently really rocky but you have given me so much more hope and has made me understand a lot more that this isn’t a regular marriage it’ll be hard for a while especially understanding and going through it alone no one to talk too and I feel completely isolated. We just hit our one year of being married in March and it has been so hard and seems to be getting harder. Thank you for always putting up your videos gives me information that I didn’t know and gives me lots and lots of hope 💕

Oh my gosh, I understand everything you went through. How my husband and I got married is also the same way. We were engaged for 2 days and then got married and then he had fly back to San Diego 5 hours later. We've been married for a year now and still we havent been able to be together yet, but it's coming up soon to where we'll finally live together, finally. So far this year, I've seen him once. Overall, I am SOO HAPPY that I am not the only one who went through this situation. I love all your videos. If I was in San Diego the year you were, I would totally be friends with you. My boyfriend and I have been together for about a year and a half , we broke up because he was a little immature .. we were apart for about a month and a half when he sent me a text saying he was getting deployed in 2 months and that changed everything . We sat and talked and I knew I didn’t want to let him go and he didn’t either . We spent the most beautiful 2 months before his 474 day deployment to what we thought was going to be Kuwait but instead they have him full time in North Carolina . He’s been gone for a week , and we keep in touch daily because he gets to keep his phone on him . At 28 I’m waiting for his guy ! And we have plans to marry when he gets back . I did mention I think we should get engaged half way through this deployment for sure ! I get it now and I get how much a deployment can open your eyes and heart and how it can be a blessing in disguise . Can’t wait for time to pass to start out lives together !!

I know exactly how you feel about people not understanding. I was in college and a sorority when my boyfriend first joined the Air Force. I would skip class and sorority events so I could spend as much time with him as I could. They would get upset with me. I felt alone and depressed so I ended up leaving college. I feel so much better! I am hoping to start my own channel like yours so I can help others who are in my situation. This video is so helpful to others!

And leaving my mom and rest of my family when he got home, ughhh 💔. And YES to the adjustment period post-deployment! It was so hard! But of course worth it and things have really fallen into place because of God. It's a hard life sometimes, but it's a beautiful life! So, can we please get stationed at the same duty station one day because that would be AMAZING!

You put what I couldn't figure out, into words! Him not being able to get his feelings out, because he's around guys all day during depolyment/work then coming home to me who was alone all day/week happily enjoying "me time". It's a very awkward moment, you don't know how to handle the bottled up emotion. I've taken your past advice of asking if there is anything else I can do to help him. Which has been working. Like you and Connor we are Coming up on our 3yr wedding anniversary and we are just now starting to get the hang of this talking out our emotions thing. Lol

Brit, first off, I'd like to say thank you for these inspiring videos. You don't know how much reassurance you've given me. I am also very glad that I'm not the only one feeling this way (aka being older than my military man- I am 2 years older than him). Anyway, Jon and I met at my old work place (hospital) back in 2015. He worked as a security guard, I, as a cook. When we met, he enlisted and went active. Sadly, he had to leave me behind and stay as friends and oh my god, I was so sad and I cried for days after he quit his job and left for the National Guard. Eventually we met agian a year later (2016) and I wanted to reconnect which we did. We never dated AGIAN haha sadly but just talked most of the time, texting and on facebook. Our relarionship was on and off (even though we're not in an official relationship haha-for the next 2 years 2016-2017) but i knew he still had feelings for me and I to him. It went on and off ever since to this day actually 2016-present year (2018) but this year was more of a surprise to me because, he's learned to open up to me and tell me his feelings which have made me fall even more in love with him. I love him dearly and everyday I tell him haha I just facebooked him an hour ago today actually and told him I loved him. Even though to this day, we're not dating, he can rest assure how I am madly crazy in love with him. He is my hero, my national guardsman. A 2nd Leutinant in the Infrantry. Right now he's finishing his training in Georgia for IBOLC and I couldn't be any more proud of him and of how far he's come. He's finally done in the next upcoming 2 weeks-grad date is early June from what he tells me and i am super excited. I finally get to see him agian after 3 long years!!! May god bless you and your husband :) you are a wonderful person hun. Thank you for your inspiring videos agian, really. They've helped me alot when it came down to me and Jon and of how hard this crazy life of mine has been so far but I won't heed, I will be strong not just for me, but for my Infrantry man. Even though for now, we're finally going to pick up from where we left off 3 years ago, I know for a fact that like you and conner, Jon and I will have alot of ups and downs but that our/my love for him will withstand it all. Life is too short, so I'm going to take the plunge and ask him out when he gets home. I've already started planning so many things for us as well haha

I can relate to this so much. I married my husband the first week of December 2017, i graduated college the second week of December and he got deployed the third week. We only spent a few days together as a married couple. It’s really difficult being married probably because of being so far away and figuring out how to be husband and wife. He’s only 37% through his deployment and we’ve already reached a point where it’s really really difficult and we’ve needed to take some time apart. We just argue every time we talk.

My husband is about to leave for our first deployment together and I'm almost 3 months pregnant, after quitting chemo after going through it for 8 months until November (it can help with fertility but due to my extensive health issues we did not think this could happen and I just found out this could potentially take my life, which terrifies me). I've been watching your deployment videos on repeat, trying to prepare myself because it's coming *soon*. I have no support system here and I don't know anyone. Do you have any advice for how I can meet fellow spouses and make friends? I'm so scared and we just bought a house that we're moving into tomorrow so I know I'll have to get that together while he's gone but I don't do well when I'm completely alone with no human interaction 😳

Hi Amy! Have you joined the FRG of your husband's command? That will super beneficial, especially because they can help with pregnancy stuff too! I also always recommend getting involved in a church. I have made so many friends who encourage me and love me. It would also give you someone who could pray alongside of you during this really tough time.

I really appreciate your videos. It's good to know that I'm not alone in this journey and that there are plenty of MILSOs out there who are going through the same thing. I just got married to my sailor last month and being in a long distance marriage can be difficult sometimes. He is currently in Charleston, SC (went back just 9 days after our wedding) for his second set of schooling. Now, I am stuck here in Las Vegas waiting to move there with him. Sadly, the military will not pay for me to move there with him since he got his orders prior to our marriage. So we're trying to save up as much as we could so I could move there with him in a couple of months. But moving cross country is not cheap. In the video, you mentioned that you and Connor lived apart for the first year of your marriage. During that time, did you guys save up for the move or did the military pay for you to move to San Diego with him? And also, how hard was it adjusting to finally living with your sailor? I'm still getting a hang of being a Navy Wife and just being married in general. Watching your video made all my anxiety and worries go away.

My husband deployed a month ago for his second time and my first time. We are on NBVC Port Hueneme and this has been very very rough. I haven't had a ton of courage to join any groups on base, mainly because I grew up here and have horses and school but I know it would really help to connect with milsos. My friends are great but they are single and don't know about military relationships and I know they care and are sympathetic but they don't know what it's like because they don't go through it. How do I get that courage to go on base and do fun things with milsos! ❤ your channel is fabulous btw!! 💕#Heisgood!!
@BritCon26 жыл бұрын
So... idk if you or anyone can tell but I am kind of a shy person haha. I need courage a lot. So God has actually given me scripture for each time I need courage. When I feel unworthy and scared of man (women/milsos) he says, Hebrews 13:5-6 For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" When I am scared of the future... like walking into an FRG gathering when I know no one haha. He says Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. And because you have the Spirit of the Living God inside of you, he isn't just going with you. He is you. You are courageous because the Spirit lives in you. This is something I have to remind my own self of too. God created us to be bold and courageous, only does sin make us fearful. So know courage lives in you! Sorry if I ranted haha xoxo Brittani
