I love your attitude about fragrance! I sprayed Narciso Ambrée in a Sephora this summer and fell in love, but the number of different versions of the Narciso cubes is overwhelming, and I feel like I have to make sure Ambrée is my favorite of the lot before purchasing…typing that out I realize it sounds silly. You’ve also made me really want to try Alluring Fig. I’m obsessed with fig, and fig + vanilla sounds alluring indeed!

I know what you mean, you don't need all of them, I only bought ambrée as the poudrée is nearly finished (as much as I can tell 🤣) and is discontinued. Hello Claire, yay for part two! I love that we finally have some fragrance overlap. I remember in the past I was surprised that I didn't have a single bottle you had. My collection isn't as big as yours. I keep adding bottles slowly. 😅 I had the same experience with Kayali once I finally sampled them. I have two bottles from that house and wouldn't mind adding a few more. I have to say I do typically love Amber and tobacco scents, but was disappointed with Invite Only when I tried it. I thought it was going to be the one I preferred and was surprised when I didn't. I am trying to figure out my next purchase from them. Time to go through my samples and retry them. I have TF Black Orchid and the Crystal Noir in Edp. I want to test out the Basilica, Verveine, and some Miller Harris. Found at Dusk sounds intriguing when ever you talk about it as do the other ones you own. You have some amazing discontinued bottles in your collection! Thanks for sharing your collection. Wow! It's unusual isn't it when you see you don't overlap with someone! I must say that a lot of my collection is quite old now. I am just emotionally attached to a quite a few I guess! But I am trying to cycle through them. Kayali for sure need testing, stuff I thought I'd love, I haven't done and stuff I've thought I'd not enjoy, I have done with them. It's so sad to see the Auras are discontinued. Luckily I have a back of the edt version and a lot left of my edp. I got so excited to see you have Mirage. I love that one as well💙. You're right it's not exactly aquatic but it does still somehow make me think of the sea. I like the mineral note got a backup of that one also. It's my favorite fresh scent. Cruelty Free is something we need to discuss and be clear about it. Especially comes with perfumes I think companies need to be clear and accept that when they make a decision it would affect customers decisions and thing won’t be the same.

Yes I think just being transparent on reformulations would be a start. I really feel like cruelty free and vegan are not terms that everyone is clear on either. At what point do you stop, do the ingredients have to be those or just the overall product? Surely alcohol at some point will have been tested on animals for example?

Besides cruelty free, humans right and environmental sustainability also could be a topic for discussion and educate. Most importantly is there any ways to make balance between those things.

Some beauty brands did a great job of announcing when would they discontinue/ changing formulas reason behind that or keep the original product let customers to decide which ones they prefer. However when comes to perfume industry I don’t think that much brands doing such thing after pandemic everything seems more confused and we need to start guessing when would the perfume be discontinued even stock up and perfume prices tag start to become ridiculous.

I wonder how much my collection has changed since this 2023 version? I've not watched it back since I filmed the 2024, I should probably have a look and see, but yes I know I have a few new ones since and I've finished a few too. I think it's interesting that there is so little overlap sometimes with other people's collections. I don't know where you are, but differences might reflect different markets as well as tastes. I know for sure that many of the Indie fragrances that I own now have relatively limited distribution abroad. Which one do we share? 🥰

I have a question about the middle eastern perfumes, many europeans have visited egypt where the perfume shops are everywhere (and the sellers very hard to say no to😂) I wonder if the quality of these now popular arabic perfumes are that same level…? I have no idea why but those bought on holiday never worked for me when I came home.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure that I can answer as I've never bought fragrance on holiday and never been to anywhere I've seen fragrance being sold. I'd say that Lattafa are very much mainly a miss for me. I've tried Afnan and Swiss Arabian too and again I haven't found a love. Swiss Arabian was the best of the three, Afnan in particular is one that has just smelt incredibly chemical to me, but I think it's a personal thing, some people smell this and others don't and love them (just look at the popularity of Afnan and Lattafa on KZbin...). Captured proprietary molecules can be protected but I think that is because their specific chemical structure can be identified in court.

I guess her personal choice is her personal choice, but I do think she had influence over a lot of others and may have helped to reduce vaccine take up further, I've seen the damage that mumps can do and I would not wish that on anyone. At the time of her being connected to kvd there were also accusations that she was anti-Semitic and that put me off her too but I do not think these were ever proven so may have been the result of some mis information and may have been unfounded. The fragrance is a good one anyway and I did not give money to kvd, I bought it secondhand. Thanks for watching 🥰
