Madonna Truth Or Dare is my favourite scent of all time. I currently have about 150 bottles of perfume, whittled down from twice that. Madonna Truth Or Dare is the only scent I've felt the compulsion to stock-pile. Madonna was five years old when her mother died. This is the scent she created to evoke the long-ago memory of her mother. I understand that Robert Piguet's "Fracas" is a forerunner and inspiration for TOD. I own both and I must say the Truth Or Dare is much smoother and more refined. Side note: I bought Truth Or Dare many years ago when I was still smoking, and trying to quit. Being an eighties teen, I liked Madonna. TOD was being promoted. I really liked it in store and bought a bottle. I told myself I could open and use my new scent when I'd gone a month without smoking. That was many years ago. I'm still smoke-free and loving TOD despite the many beautiful fragrances I've collected in the intervening years.

Yes, I think it's been rumoured that Piguet was so annoyed that there was consideration of suing Madonna but the release of Truth or Dare actually boosted sales so they relented! 😂 I completely get from the scent that it might reflect Madonna looking back. 👍 Truth or Dare was truly a fab fragrance for its low pricepoint. It's not something you would find now on the celebrity fragrance market. It's lovely that it helped you to quit too! That's amazing 🥰

Great Collection Claire !! Love Lolita Lempicka also . Definitely dislike scents that are very weak and don’t last more than 3 hours . I learned that if I get a fragrance that is that weak to mark it down in a handy purse size memo pad so I don’t repurchase it again . Even if it smells lovely I don’t want to waste money on a Scent that doesn’t work for me . Fragrance in Canada can be expensive and seems to go up a bit more each year . It was a somewhat opportunistic purchase but I'd tried it a while ago and really enjoyed it. I would love to find the Minuit flanker, that one is stunning! Do you have any purchases to report? 🥰

@@dr.claire.perfume Haha yeah, I recently got a newer (pyramid) bottle of Givenchy's Pi edt and it's simply not what it used to be. The oldest formulation was actually a citrusy juniper fragrance with a muted almond and benzoin, but now it's a strictly hypnotic poison-esque benzaldehydic amaretto hand cream. All base and little face. Absolutely still lasts though, despite the rumours of dilution. Have to say that I do love that original Lempicka bottle. 🍏 Incidentally, the edp Intense of Au Masculin has been my Halloween scent for the last 6 years. 😁 And the Homme version a very smooth vanilla for the autumn. Effectively replaced Boss Bottled edt for me. Seems like sweetness will be the theme of the season eh? 😉 Cheers Claire!

Givenchy has totally reformulated Ange ou Démon too... I was going to buy a bottle, but I tried it and now I want to try to find an old one. The spicy root beer feel is no longer there. It's just quite flat... It's a shame that Pi also became a little one dimensional. Haha Lolita Lempicka in general are very Halloween aren't they? 🎃 They are trick or treat sweet but still artful and interesting. 🥰

I think I might actually have a different version to Jon and the one being released now as I tried Jon's bottle and thought it wasn't quite identical and he also said his original sample was a bit different (including a different concentration). But yes, either way, Forbidden Bloom is a stunner for both versions! I hope Mabelle sorts the US distributor soon. I know she's been trying. 🥰

Haha! I enjoy it because it really does fit its name! It's certainly a molecular fragrance though, so might not be for everyone. Having said that, I do really like it and I'm not a fan of JHAG or Escentric molecules. I did enjoy the original formulation of Glossier You though. 🥰

I haven't but I've been wanting to. Are you in the US or elsewhere? I'm curious to know where I can get them. Unfortunately Mugler don't stock them on the UK website, despite them being available on the US one 🤷‍♀️ opposite way around to how the deal with Mugler Innocent, which is only available in Europe and not in the US. We do have some left on discount sites though, although not the full range. I am tempted by Cuir Impertinent, but the ones I'd really love to sniff are out of stock everywhere, so the Musk, Amber and Florale. Woodisime is also out of stock. I am happy that you are enjoying it, it sounds a fab gift. The notes look lovely. 🥰

I finished Poudrée, it was in my last empties video I think. 🤔 Musc Diamant I had a travel spray of and I finished it and then I bought a 50ml bottle. But then I figured why I am I rebuying this? I love it but there's a world of fragrance out there to try... so I never opened it and I resold it. I knew if I opened it, I would keep it! I understand, and it has a very good value as it is discounted. I got a big one second hand almost full and am enjoying the clean musc, even though it’s very sweet 🍬. Another one I finally found was an unopened Alien essence A for a great price, also thought that I will resell it, but was so curious that I opened it, so now as much as I want to save the juice (60ml) I could make it my signature sent for the fall, totally stunning 🤩
