I love my Olympus XA. One of the smallest 35mm rangefinders you can get. But damn o damn that thing bangs. It has its quirks but I fell in love with mine.

Bronica ETRSI :) You can disengage the EV couple on that rangefinder. I've done it a couple times.

The addiction (passion) is real. Since August of '21 I've procured: Graphlex Graphic 35, Canon F-1 black body, Canonet QL-17 GIII, Minolta srt101, Nikon F2, Canon P, Canon AF35ML, Minolta XD11 black body, Olympus OM-1 black body, Nikon L35AF2, Konica C35 AF2, Olympus 35 RC. I should be done... should be.

Wow nice!! That’s a good lineup of cameras for sure! I feel the same way. I should be done, but I’m sure my camera collection will change as time goes on

Thanks. My wife is just about ready to revoke my eBay privileges. Quite a few of the bodies need new light seals which I’ve begun working on. Not to mention I haven’t fully film tested a lot of them though they are in good working condition. I’ve sold a couple of cameras but there’s always that temptation to get more. Great channel and great pictures 👍

Great collection! I have recently added my first range finder to my own, the Zorki 4. It's got sort of an awkward set of controls compared to other cameras, definitely not as sophisticated as your Canon or Yashica. No light meter, no frame lines, a winding knob rather than a lever, and you've got to wind the film before changing shutter speed. Still, quite an interesting camera. Finally got the shutter working (mostly) and now ready to see how the pictures turn out!

With close to 800 cameras sitting on my shelves, how can you ask me to pick a favorite. I start with the Nikon FE, FE2, FA oh and the F2, F3HP, F4, F5, Contax RTS, RTS II, Canon A1, Minolta XD-s and that's just a portion of the 35mm SLR's, and don't get me started on medium format cameras - but the Rolleiflex SLX II or maybe the Mamiya 645 Pro TL would definitely be in my top five.

Without Duckduckgo'ing it, I wouldn't call the SX-70 Polaroid's first instant film camera. I don't know if it was the first "integral" (the kind that was pushed out through rollers to break pods containing developer and developed out of the camera over a few minutes) film camera made by Polaroid, but for sure it came many years after Polaroid developed and marketed the various Land cameras that used peel-apart film. I especially love those cameras, which could give great results, and lament the disappearance of all peel-apart films since Fujifilm ceased production a few years ago. Before that happened, I got a lot of enjoyment from shooting my Kodak 250 Land camera and using peel-apart film in backs for various medium format cameras like my Mamiya 645 and RB67.
@ReimannPembroke2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s true! Polaroid did have cameras before that that used peel apart film. I think the SX-70 was the first to use that new style of instant film that became synonymous with the brand

I like how you haven't amassed a massive collection like literally everyone else. Apart from the few nostalgia pieces, you only own what you actually use. My favourite is my Zenit ET. It just works for me, every single time. The controls aren't anywhere near as smooth as my Pentax SP F, but when you move a control, there is no doubt that you have moved it, so you rarely have to take your eye away from the viewfinder to change settimgs.
@ReimannPembroke2 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you appreciate that! I don’t really want to be the guy who has a huge collection, but doesn’t use most of the cameras. I only want cameras that make me want to get out and shoot! If my collection starts getting too big, I’ll just get rid of some things on eBay haha and nice! I’ve never used a Zenit camera but I Am curious about what the experience is like

Do you think that if you ever got another lens or two for the FR-1 or TL you would use them? Additionally, I'm disappointed because you hardly even mentioned, or showed, the lenses you have for your various cameras. How many lenses do you have for each interchangeable lens camera? What are they? Why did you go with that lens? Cameras are nothing without a lens, after all, and I'm just sad that you left this out of your video. Could you post a list of lenses at least? FWIW, I have what I think to be a sizeable camera collection. It's quite a bit larger than yours anyway, and I enjoy using them all. I have some fixed lens units, but for my interchangeable lens cameras, I've got at least 3x as many lenses as I do camera bodies. I'm not the type of shooter to ride or die with just one lens.
@ReimannPembroke2 жыл бұрын
I think I would probably use the FR1! I really like the feel of that camera. Also I didn’t add any of my lenses to this video because the only extra lenses I have are for the Canon P and I’ve actually made dedicated videos about 2 out of the three of those! I have some other vintage lenses that I use on my digital camera and I’m planning on making a whole lens video actually!
@ldstirling2 жыл бұрын
@@ReimannPembrokeI've seen your Canon P videos and I know you have a Jupiter 12 and Industar 26 for that camera. I'm totally surprised you don't have at least one more lens for the Bronica. I mean, your 6x6 TLR already has an 80mm lens. Why not have something different on your Bronica?
@ReimannPembroke2 жыл бұрын
@@ldstirling I probably will get another lens for the Bronica! I am particularly interested in the 40mm lens! I had to fix the focusing issue first though. and with how expensive 120 film is, I haven't gotten around to using the Bronica enough to decide what other lens I would really enjoy
