My Yashica 124g is very nice!! My nikon f2 is the best camera ever!! The meter needs fixing, but the camera is gorgeous and a tank!!

What 👏🏼 A 👏🏼 Collection 👏🏼 WOW!!! Awesome video, I too will attempt to justify all of my film purchases… so much more expensive in the long term than digital, but I’m much more obsessed in the process of film from shooting, to developing, to the colors and so on. A camera not on that list in my opinion that you should look into is any 6x6 TLR, mainly the yashica mat 124g. That was my first medium format camera and it’s so fun to use!! Focus and getting your composition was my favorite part of it.

The Pentax 67 is my favorite camera. I have a Yashica Mat 124 that I really enjoy using.
@TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
I had a Yashica d and I loved shooting with it. The waist level finder is so fun. The square format was a bit tough for me but a fun challenge.
@kash3902 жыл бұрын
in one of you videos, you were using the Canon AE-1 with EF lens. Could provide the adapter used to attach EF lens to FD body?
@TonyWodarck2 жыл бұрын
Nope it was a canon FD 85 1.2L lens. Not an ef lens. I don’t believe an FD to EF adapter exists.

I still have my old Nikonos III. Great for out in the boat or rugged field work. Actually I’m getting a little too old for the rugged field work, but the camera is still up for it. One hint don’t change lenses or reload film while you’re flying. It you already done it you’ll know why. Also I love the Pentax 6x7 but for medium format I have a few Mamiya 330s. Great portrait work.
@TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha I never even thought about that with the nikonos. What happens? It explode? Thanks for watching the vid!
@TheDecguy3 жыл бұрын
Tony Wodarck The air pressure at altitude is lower even on commercial flights. If you take the lens off to change it or reload film the air pressure in the camera is lowered. When you land I the plane the air pressure at ground level is greater, therefore presto you can’t get the lens off. It’s amazing how good the seals are in these cameras. Try it for fun the next time you go flying.

You use to have the EOS 3, do you like the upgrade to the 1V and is it really worth the extra for it?

I did a whole comparison video on the two on my KZbin channel. Definitely worth checking out. Overall, I don’t think you need to upgrade.

That's a pretty nice collection. 😮 I really need to try the pentax 67 & the Fuji Klasse. They look like such good options. It would be interesting to know which cameras had problems.
@TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
The Pentax 67 is a must. The Fuji Klasse feels great. Curious to see the results. When you mean what cameras had problems, you mean the ones I got rid of?

I got the Canon A1 - would love to get my hands on a Lecia or a Hasselblad. Does Tony respond?
@TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
You know it! I would recommend the world of medium format before going to Leica. You’re going to see a lot more of a difference with a bigger negative over an expensive luxury camera (although my Leica M6 is my fav). Hasselblad is a great option. Check the Mamiya 645, Pentax 645, Yashica D (square format, Yashica 124mat (square format), or Pentax 67 (a beast of a camera).

@@TonyWodarck Let’s see. This is very impractical and you’d probably need to sell a kidney or two to afford these additions but here it goes. • Mamiya 7 II (medium format walk around) • X-Pan (when you’re feeling extra lol) • Pentax 67 II 😬 • Instatkon (I know, it’s instax, but it’s a beast) • Polaroid SX70 (Still a sucker for Polaroid) Thanks for allowing me to delineate. @TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha sorry. You’re right. That was a mistake. I was trying to mean it’s a fast system for 120. Compared to say a Pentax 67.

@contaxpaulharrison9423 жыл бұрын
@@TonyWodarck watching again it could be either, I piece of advice you probably don't need avoid lomochrome purple I only got 15 frames of that film with a couple of rolls of it.
@randallstewart1753 жыл бұрын
A logical if extensive assembly of users. Having fully invested in a Pentax 67 system before the Contax 645 arrived, and not being a professional, I would never recommend or buy the Contax 645, based on cost, lack of availability of its otherwise marvelous collection of accessories, it's reputation for problems, and a practical lack of available repairs. For non-pro use in 645 format. the Fuji GS645 and GA645 models offer a great option if you do not need a wide range of focal lengths.
@TonyWodarck3 жыл бұрын
Yep. At some point when I stop shooting weddings I will get rid of the Contax 645 and will be keeping the Pentax 67. For non-professional gigs or slower-paced events I prefer the Pentax. Especially consider cost of ownership.
