She disappeared for 4 years without a word. Started a whole new life in a different country, with a different man and even had a kid. Then comes back and even threatens with divorce. I would normally feel bad about the kid. All that is out the window because she shut down all other alternative methods of them having a kid while they were married. She might as well have just stayed where ever she had the kid at.

It of course depends on where you live, but spousal or martial abandonment is certainly cause for an uncontested divorce in most places. Usually after one year. Don't think he could have had her pronounced dead, but after one year he should have been able to get a divorce fairly easily. Not sure why he seemingly never did that and instead just stayed married. Huge mistake because it means she might be able to get a lot of money out of him as technically they're still married.

He knows that he can easily call child services on her & file for divorce, emotional damage, file for a restraining order against her as well her parents since they will try to protect her . 3 things can easily get her away from him. Also there are ways for him to get a chance to have kids since there are new treatments for this case.

OP should have known the marriage was doomed after his diagnosis. That was the moment she started planning on getting pregnant by another man. That was why she shot down all his suggestions. And I bet money the guy was one of her exes or someone that she had a crush on when she was younger. She had a FOUR YEAR affair with him that likely only ended when the baby daddy found an upgrade or decided to stay with his GF/fiance/wife.

Well... Kicking her out for her betrayal was a good move (or at least understandable), but making it so that she (and her kid) would fall into misery (and have to live in the street afterwards) wasn't... Vengeance eats one's soul... It's the quickest way to find yourself in hell. Plus, her child was innocent. I know it is a far reach to ask every man to act like the prophet Hosea towards his unfaithfull wife, but at least we can avoid acting in a bastard's way like the Count of Monte-Cristo.
