I am SO getting this! All these great iconic tones for only 30 bucks (or euros here in NL)? The micropitch AND the tri-chorus included? The biggest no-brainer ever! Ok for some reason I've never heard of Over Loud TH-U. Could you explain why you have chosen this platform over Amplitube/ToneX, Bias Amp 2, Kemper, NAM, etc? Seems like there's a new modeler coming out every other day. Maybe a video going over this software would be in order.

Hi! Overloud has been out for quite a while actually. IK by far is the oldest. Overloud has a history in making great mixing plugins. I think they're THU is the most underrated. Not to say Amplitube Bias or any of the others aren't good... they are. I have a massive collection of Kemper presets/profiles at bighairyprofiles.com, I also have a tone of Tonex captures. People often ask me to make AxeFX or Line6 presets, but there just isn't enough time in my day to cover every format in the quality that I would demand.

I have Rockin' Racks and it's amazing...I don't seem to have the "Lando Clean" preset though. Is it because I'm using THU Essentials? I was wondering if my Rig Libraries would sound better if I had the full THU software and the better reverbs/effects? I hope not because I don't really need THU to be honest, just the Rig Player. I have about 9 libraries now and use them all especially BHS Studio Ace and the Mesa Roadking. And the Shirley's Dirty Brown Eye amp, love that one. Anyway thanks for all the hard work Michael, you make the best captures in the biz!

Hi! Yes. I try to design the patches for Essentials, but then I do 3-5 patches at the end for THU Ultimate (or whatever it's called). Those extra patches need to be downloaded separately. I think it's a button on THU that says, "Get more" or something like that. I THINK... if you download those sounds, you'll still get the patch, but the locked FX will be locked. So you can always replace them with the Essentials FX. Also to note, the rigs are not exclusive. So, any rig I use to create a patch comes in the bundle. But try grabbing those presets. Mostly it's the reverb or delays, sometimes compressors that are different. Easy to swap.

The trick with Ty, is that his amp and pickups are sort of unique-ish. (and his fingers). Honestly, I haven't quite figured out how the got that Gretchen tone. But I've never come across that Gibson Lab L5 amp either.

I mean, Gretchen and Please Come Home... so different, Ogre Tones, XV, and King's X. I'm always thinking it's such a shame that he doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves. So may guitar publications talk about originality/uniqueness but never give Ty the respect. I could wax lyrical on him for hours...the riffs, so inventive, I mean Lost in Germany. I know you know what a player he is...just wish more would recognize it. Same with Brian Tatler from Diamond Head without whom there'd be no Metallica.
