Bro as cb you get better as you get older because of experience etc. Is it the same as full backs or is athleticism more crucial?
@garrysgodfather49344 жыл бұрын
It’s much harder to play as a modern full back in your later years. Lots of full backs convert to cb if they have the size in their older years
@-pupper-4 жыл бұрын
Not the same with Fullbacks, now they tend to make Fullbacks run back and forth on the wing as if they were wingbacks. it’s much more athleticism but yes, over the time you get much more experience and become a better CB

@@garrysgodfather4934 I think matt should convert to cb when he hits 30 so he can play at a high level for longer

It’s possible to play FB in the older days and still be relevant. Tactical knowledge, experience and spacial awareness are some import things to master this position even when you get slower time after time. If you are depend only on speed to success in tackles you will be lost some day like Highschool legend who destroyed everybody back in the day but never became stars on pro level later because the opponent was suddenly as strong as him🤷🏼♂️

At 3:14 , Again you stop the ball first ,instead of a one-touch pass going over the head of the defender to the midfielder who has WIDE OPEN space. Instead you elect to pass to the wing who is CHECKING BACK with his back facing downfield , which he shouldn't have done, like your pass. As result , because of your pass and the wing checking back you guys have closed the spacing and as result also lose the ball in your own half. At 3:34 you have to 2 teammates closely marked. The player you passes , you should have passed to for in effect he created space for the other midfielder to his right to run into and receive your pass. The pass is not bad, the receiver who lost the doesn't how to shield with his and therefore makes you look bad. It is those type of situations you need take note of for future reference this particular teammate can't and can do and therefore to him need to go through that filter. At 4:11 , you could have passed to the WIDE OPEN back with so much space in front but you to pass it back. Why pass it back ,for your had already won all the space, but you chose the easy way out...Not only that look at the 3v1 advantage you had out there. This part of building up from the back which you didn't do. At 5:23, what is it with your front line coming to the ball. #9 cuts down your space. But what should have is to turn to pass like you did, but instead fake pass which would commit your opponent, then quickly pass to #9 for a quick give and go... At 5:49 WHY pass back with such a silly, meaningless pass but instead run with the ball forwards for you have the space, the field view, and more options. Instead what happens you pass and the midfielder passes it square to the side which will do but allow the opponents more to shift defensive. THE OLD SOCCER IDIOM FOLLOWED BY AJAX,,,,LENGHT OVER BREADTH. You don't accomplish anything with square passes.. At 8:00, that was a defensive fault on your part. You should have realized 1v2 situation called for help way before. The problem was you watched the ball too much... At 8:19, why didn't wing move out down the side to give you more time, more space for you. The pass you made to him simple didn't do ,useless. Or hold on a little a longer and try to pass to the second teammate who had 2 defenders on him causing also an open lane in the middle. At 10:23 that pass should have been ahead of not to your feet for you had so much space, instead the play was slowed down.. At 11:08, you made a nice run but # 6 is lazy and should have run to the far post.
