I'm not excited about any of the recent releases. It seems the last year or so these companies are releasing quantity over quality, and I'm kind of turned off by that. I can't help but think about all that waste and the impact on the environment caused by overconsumption. But I also haven't seen anything lately that I think is just so pretty that it's worth the money. I do really appreciate you speaking about your low-buy.

I know. Remember the days we hated when we hit pan bc we knew we were running out but now we have so much we pat ourselves on the back for hitting pan. That’s very telling for me and I’m trying to use what I own and not buy anything new

@@shantel.m yea I mean if you really compare the collection like I did you see so many repetitive colors with just different packaging and different pops of colors with eyeshadow palettes and I mean blush and highlight palettes where you can only use 1-2 colors out or the 4 available in the palette. The list of waste goes on and on

Hey!! Great video! I don't really have any holy grails anymore. I'm getting older and have basically had to revamp all my makeup. Im enjoying learning new and exciting things and trying some to see if they work on my skin. Dior is a fave and Charlotte Tilbury is moving up in ranks. I still take tips from you younger ladies as you know the trends and you give me ideas. I just tweek them a little🥰

Omg yes the chanel loose powder is my Holy Grail!!! I am trying to use up my others quickly because nothing compares lol I recently decluttered my makeup and it honestly scared me at how much money I spend on makeup 🥲 I'm also going to attempt a low buy this year! I only really want to pick up the chanel le Blanc collection so far this year and then I always buy a Lou boutin lipstick for my birthday every year. Hi Erin! You look beautiful. Your hair looks stunning and your makeup is amazing🤗 You are totally right about Dior's blush. They should just buy it. I think it doesn't have a dupe because the ph formula is so great and unique. It's better to have one great quality product than tons of medium quality. I really love that blush. It's my favorite! And yes, the Real Techniques brush is exactly for eyelashes. I like it but you have to be really careful because it's really sharp. I have poked my eye twice ☺ You have been creating such beautiful looks! Love you !🤗🤗🤗

I’ve try to be selective in what I buy. I try not to collect too much makeup, it feels wasteful. Tns ceramide cream by skinmedica is all I have found that instantly takes away my redness! I even use it on my elbow that has psoriasis and it goes away over night!!! It’s not near as expensive as the TNS serum thankfully!

I really LOVE Gucci Flora. I get migraines so easily but that one doesn’t give me one. I used to wear Givenchy hot couture in the lighter pink bottle also and I liked it a lot. What are some other scents I may like that are sweet with not a ton of floral that are similar to Gucci Flora Gardenia ?

In regards to low-buy/no-buy approach, I feel ask myself if it's a love or a like. I also try to average out just one new product a month so I get to truly use and enjoy them. I'm also afraid of having too much where they get old and my skin has a negative reaction. I think the last statement is what truly grounds me.

I really like the fact that you talk about low buy. Some years ago I used to buy too much to fill the void. Now I feel better and look at my collection. it's not big but to me it's too much sometimes. I definitely don't have the need for new make up at all

I have my powder since 2019 I use the #30 or 3 I belive it’s still half way and I use my powder only to set my t zone. About 2x a week. Same as the bronzers still have them since 2019/2020 and the new shade medium is gorgeous on light medium skin tone.

I love MIXING the Chanel duo lipsticks!!! Light Rose + Tender Beige is the best and most flattering color. Also love Tender Beige + Merry Rose for a great everyday nude. Merry Rose is too light and surprisingly sheer for me by itself, but it’s a fantastic mixer. ❤💄💋

That single eyeshadow from Chanel is truly unique. I pulled it out recently and why don’t I use it more often. There’s somewhat similar shade in the PML bronze seduction palette, but that one is a glitter topper and has tons of fall out and the Chanel one is creamy and long-lasting. But this is just an excuse to congratulate you on hitting 100K!!!🎉 so much work and dedication behind these years. You’re the first KZbinr I started watching. Sometimes I think even buying one lipstick 💄 gives you a quick shot of endorphins 😮! I have been on a search for a Holy Grail foundation. It’s Not just the right shade match but, one that looks natural on my 63 year old skin! I’ve got 4 new foundations I need to try for a second time to see how it works all day. I am very interested in the Olaplex pre-shampoo bond building 2-part system. Looks wonderful! Also I'm so happy to see the Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation! I loved watching you apply makeup with your HG Products! That golden shade on the lid is stunning...it's my favorite color to place on the lid, and yes, I even put highlighters there because you really get that sparkle! I'm on an Eyeshadow Palette no-buy, which is going great (it also helps when nothing out there interests me), and am currently trying several different Concealers and Powder combinations to find MY HG! 💘

Try putting a mixture of nr 6 and the oil in wet hair after washing and then put it in a towel. That made such a difference for me.

Since i bought sooo much fragrance last year im on a smart buy. Zero blind buying! I will buy samples and 2 ml decants of everything and see if i finish the sample. After if i keep thinking about it then ill buy a full bottle. So far its working! I bought one bottle from nishane since ive gone thru my 10 decant. Plus ive bought like ten samples. Its still fun but way less wasteful.

I just got an olaplex treatment done this morning, it really is a godsend for color treated hair! And i also have the steampod, its a bit unweildy, but it really is a wonderful straightener! Your hair looked so romantic and airy at the end, and of course your makeup was immaculate ♥ Lately, i've really been leaning into my perfume more than i ever have! My husband suprised me with a small bottle of Shalimar by Guerlain back in november, it was a blind buy but i am enamoured with it! It is mind blowing to me just how striking and modern it is, especially considering it was designed in the 20s!

I have been on a no buy on makeup but skincare is my investment at the beginning of a new year. I am just waiting on Hermes products to drop. Everything else is ehhh, or like you said once you resist the urge you wait for the next thing. If I still want it during a sale, then I know it was worth the wait.
