The journalist (or the production team) obviously manipulated Yossi and you as well, and here's why it's so obvious to me. They key thing to notice, which you haven't, is that we don't know what question the journalist asked him. At no point, until the journalist looked at Yossi's phone, we can hear the journalist asking about photos of a baby or a mother. That segment began right at Yossi's Answer and we don't hear what question he was initially asked because it was cut. This is a glaring sign for me that there was very nasty manipulation done by the journalist. Why did they cut out the initial Journalist question?! In what world you start a segment by an answer, without showing the question?! The Journalist didn't ask him for picture of the mother or the baby, he asked him something along the lines of : "Do you have a picture of the scene?" (or something similar) And than Yossi said "Yes I can show you", thinking about an aftermath scene, not explicit images of baby or mother And than later when the Journalist told him "I don't see a mother" or "I don't see a baby" (first time we hear the journalist saying those words), Yossi got confused because that wasn't what the Journalist asked him. Pay attention that Yossi was very confident, up until the moment the journalist said he don't see a mother or baby, only than he showed signs of confusion. Why was Yossi so confident if he knew he don't have what the journalist asked? Well... because that wasn't what the journalist initially asked him, the part that those nasty bastards cut out. Again, the key point here is that they cut out what the Journalist asked him. Clearly clearly Yossi was manipulated and so was the production team specifically cut out segments to portray the narrative they wanted.

Why I think that? Because the other options doesn't make any sense, Do you seriously suggest that while Yossi know there's no literal baby in the photo he still literally meant that there's a baby there and than he thought "Oh well, the journalist wouldn't notice"... none of that make sense, even if we take it as a premise that Yossi lies, still, even the biggest liars don't lie like that. If Yossi was genuinely dishonest, he would just say "I don't have photos", why would he say I have photoes, rush to his phone to show the photoes, after the journalists asked him to show him the photo, all of that while Yossi KNOWS that he is lying. I makes zero senes. I will keep hammer on my main point, which you conveniently ignore, because it destroys your narrative: they (Al Jazeera) cut out what the journalist initially asked him, I never seen an interview where some segment starts with an answer, and the preceding question was cut out.
