I am using one plus 7 from past 2.5 years. It's working awesome still. There is no need of upgrading to 9 series. I think you can easily use one plus phone till 4 to 5 years if you are not very harsh user. There are 3 people in my family who is using 6 and 6T still without any issues.

That delay in capturing photo is there in my OnePlus 7T as well after updating to Oxygen OS 11. So this is not OnePlus 9 series issue, this is Oxygen OS 11 issue. I doubt OnePlus would fix this. We have to live with it.

Thank you very much . I was thinking about this phone only whole day. Should I buy or go for the pro . I even made a list of things it misses eg metal frame ( but makes phone lighter and it has to stay in case only ), wireless charge ( my present car does not have it and I am not planing to buy a new car in next 3 years because it is just a year old ) , vibration motor ( you confirmed it's good ) , screen ( 2k battery drain no diff and accidental touch , after cover no good looks) , telephoto ( pro has 8 mp it is of no use you can zoom in 3times in 48mp camera ) the only thing left were ois and lidar in camera . Ois ( you confirmed is not a big issue ) and lidar is only left . But I will now go for it and buy it for myself on my birthday this week .thanks again

My OnePlus 7 captures decent photos and videos, but when uploaded to any of the social medias the quality of the same degrades drastically, no matter edited or not.
