I was employed under SGB from last year 1st September. I never dreamed of teaching in my life. I started enjoying helping learners as and felt like I can do this job for many years without getting tired. I think this came as a calling and almost every learner turned to understand me a lot. I'm just thinking of enrolling with UNISA Part time while helping my learners. What I like is I'm plowing back to the same Primary school I attended in my childhood. I just have another different feeling in helping learners and being called Sir Mhlongo 😂

What advise would you give to student teachers who are introverted (shy)? How would you encourage them to open up more?

I'd like to think I'm shy but because teaching is more like a calling to me , all that shyness goes away as soon as I enter into the school premises and classroom

@@kelsmabula Personally for introverts being open minded and willing to engage with learner behaviours could really improve your confidence with learners. Learners love a creative and engaging teachers. The more creative you are the more the confidence & more they become relatable with you and your context.
