I’ve been doing this for 4 years, in Arizona, Florida, and now in Ohio, and have been a cherry picker, top dasher, and platinum. It’s never been worse for dashers than it is right now. We have to take garbage in order to have the privilege of taking more garbage as a platinum. Dashers finish last.

It’s because the stores are stealing your tips we do get high paying orders but the customer send our tips to the stores and the store take all of it and just gives us $6 out of $20 and they pocket the rest which is fraud because you are now stealing from the customer and the dasher and DoorDash does nothing about it….

Good video. It made take a look at my numbers. I've been platinum for a few months. It seems like my money has gone up slightly ($10-$30 a week) for the headache that is platinum. But I'm exhausted trying to maintain platinum status. If I lose platinum, I'm ok with it. It can always be re-earned.

I got platinum and is not any better. Not worth it. Technically making drivers strive for platinum is illegal because that implies they’re penalizing non platinum drivers = violates equal opportunity re: independent contractor law. Idk why people aren’t class actioning over that but DD probably anticipates it and sets aside funds for breaking the law as they did with the tip stealing.

This is what happened to me. I’ve been dashing since July. End of August AR 27%, CR 100%, OT 94%. Got the banner to raise my acceptance rate. I started getting orders that I didn’t have to decline. They weren’t great, but they weren’t horrible. Switched to a nicer zone so I wouldn’t get gutter trash orders and accepted as many as I could that were ok. I had to decline only a few. Took about 5 days to get sliver, 3 more days to get gold and one more day to get platinum. AR is at now 81% so I have flex to decline trash orders.

I'm definitely trying new zones with in my market since I've only been here for 6 months I'm still trying to learn all the surrounding areas as well.

I can go to bed platinum and wake up gold. School started so I didn’t dash consistently in august. Always one or two away. It doesn’t matter anyway except for the Dash now opportunity.

It dont matter in the end. Youre only making enough to cover all expenses. Like a casino with deliveries the house always win. Those in 2021 would be triple earnings. What youre seeing now looks good as long as you have no hiccups. Ex tires, tune ups, lights, battery, alternators, brakes. These are all costly maintenance service. Just a diagnostic runs 149+ and forget about the transmission. This is why the apps are saturated. They actually through the drivers own your vehicles. Let that sink in. Your vehicle goes down guess what next vehicle up. Thats why theyre billionaires in this low budget game.

I know people tend to calculate their per hour income according to the active time but personally I think that what is really important is the dash time and if we use the dash time, the income is really not that great. You would make more money in a 9-to-5 job because you would not have gas and car maintenance expenses. The only good thing is that you make your schedule and dont have a boss on your back.

I average between $15 to $20 an hour. That's my total "logged in" dash time. I can usually log in between 11am-8pm and finishs with at least $120 for the day. Much higher Fri-Sun. I don't do Sundays now because of Football. My highest days have been just over $200 and they have been on weekends. I don't do shop n' pay orders.

That's not bad, I know you may not like shop and pay orders, but they can be some pretty orders sometimes. Test out your area, see which stores have the best shop and pay orders, I've had $50 even $60 orders that only took me an hour to do.

It's crazy how the Doordash experience varies greatly from person to person and city to city. I receive nothing but really good offers around the clock on Platinum. I used to try cherry picking, but to me it's way too time-consuming, waiting for an ideal order, simply because every customer is not going to tip big, and restaurants+stores can be so scattered. The only way I reject an order is if it's absolutely absurd. I keep the rule at $.50 to $1 per mile. When I do that, I average $1.50+ per mile or more, and the undesirable orders are far and few. @@SweetIcedBlackTea You're welcome, it's is crazy how every city varies, I've delivered in some cities where I barely saw any orders under $2 per mile. I've also worked in some areas where you barely see $1 per mile. That's why I think ever driver should try to get platinum status to test out their market. Thank you for watching

Good video, between Silver and Platnium., don't think I've experienced much of a weekly difference in pay unfortunately. I do not red card...agree about "dash now" feature being a bonus but not sure it's benefit paid me more than $30 week to be honest. The VIP customer srvc is a little better I guess idk.

@@myappealinglifeheres a hack for quick customer service. Push the option 9 it asks safety issues then press 1 immediately. You will just go to a normal support staff. Theres no “safety “ department per say

0:37 those stats say a lot. I’ll ask you the same question I ask everyone else. What about the mileage? Hourly or trip average do not matter. Mileage is the only useful metric for judging the profitability of this work.

@@stevewoodyt For the whole month it was $1.04 per mile. Platinum is definitely not worth it. It's only good for dash now, which majority of drivers don't actually need.

@@myappealinglife sheeeesh…. Thanks. No one ever responds. I believe that’s because they don’t want to admit the cope. The end of last summer I could with just UE and DD average easy $2/mile over a week up to $4 some days isolated. This $1/mile stuff is hard to deal with. I actually have a lot of people tell me I’m stupid and $1/mile is a good rate. I’ve never had high AR and the two times I tried my offers tanked at 40%. I gave up and went back to judging based on round trip miles to money. Good luck and be safe out there.

@@806media for the first month for dash gives new dashers that opportunity. After that you have to earn it. I try to get at least four customers a day to keep platinum. But with school starting back and I have students, when I reach platinum I go in and schedule as far out as I can. It will only be two hours a day but I’m getting back to platinum. Just keep up the good work and think strategically and realistically. You’ll be fine. Stay safe

Yes go into the app hit the menu button on the top left corner of the screen, scroll down until you see Dash Preferences, once there you'll see the ability to toggle off shop & pay orders. I hope that helps, if you're still having trouble shoot me an email at [e-mail]

Yeah I wouldn't recommend taking every order. I don't even think platinum is worth anything but the ability to dash now. And if you multiple app with another app you really don't need dash now.

If you pause, you stay on. If you end the dash you might not be able to get back in after your other order is done if the slots fill up

Did you watch the full video in its entirety? I said this was an experiment, and that in MY MARKET I need platinum to be to access Dash Now due my markets oversaturation. I also stated that's literally the only real benefit of platinum in my market, and if you live in a similar market then here's how to go about being able to gain access the schedule. If I lived in a major market I would never even consider to go for platinum, I'd cherry pick all three food delivery apps. I need Platinum as well to have the full ability to multiapp effectively and some what freely. Adaptation is inevitable for survival when it comes to these apps, because they constantly make changes to better their buttom lines and not ours.

I think he is correct. I let my AR get really low by cherry picking and now trying to get it back up. I accepted every order except one for 2 days straight and my AR did not change but as soon as I declined one, bam, it went down.

@@myappealinglife yea i hear u. Im just saying the days of 1 dollar a mile being profitable is long gone. 2dollars to 1 mile or close to that or better short be the goal now. Dash now is convenient yes, but u should still always schedule yourself. I learned the hard way once. It was the first of the month and my ar was 72. Man all them welfare orders 2.75 chick fila for 7 miles type orders tanked me down to 54 ar and i wasnt on the schedule so i had to wait for it to light up red and do hr times slots as they come available when it got busy. Long story short I dont care anymore about that platinum shit now . I multi app and dirty stack em.
