Hi Pedro, I am a Door Dash customer, I work from home and I use it atleast 5 to 10 a week, most orders are from places no more than a 1/2 to 2 miles away. I always give good tips, gift cards during the holidays. I realize it's not easy work, dealing with difficult merchants, the wear and tear on your car, gas prices...etc... I think your giving good tips here in this video , I can't believe some people don't tip, that's ridiculous. Customers should know that your pay from Door Dash is bulls#@t and your tips are so important...keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

All the space blanket is is a first aid blanket. They are very useful to help keep the temp, and excellent to wrap those pizzas that won't fit in a pizza bag. When I first started back in 2017 I had an order with 8 pizzas and no pizza bag. So I wrapped them in the space blanket and carried them into the customers business like that and it was for a lunch meeting and everyone (x6) in the room pulled cash out and tipped me $5.

One thing I’d like to add, as a customer who uses DoorDash quite frequently I like to tip in cash, so that way my dasher gets 100% of it and right away in their pocket. I put this in the instructions part of my order so I know you can’t see that until after you accept it. Since it sounds like you can kind of tell when people are tipping versus not but maybe just be mindful of the people that may do things this way. You never know what kind of order you may be turning down potentially 😊

Great video! I wish this was around when I was starting out! When it comes to special instructions I find that using the app to text the customer makes a huge difference. If you establish that communication with them, you can give status updates, they can give you gate codes to their building and give you more detail on the special instructions. Most importantly, by texting the customer, they are much more likely to give you a higher tip and a better dasher rating.

I'm starting tomorrow. So anything I can learn before I start, I'm sure will help me. I've been reading for literally 8 days trying to learn everything I could online, (the 8 days I was waiting for the background check to complete) but just tonight found the videos on YT. It's more real time info and useful I'm sure for my 1st day. Good Luck to you on Dashing.

Today was my first day. I did two orders I did forget to take a picture of the first order and with the second order the app closed and logged me out. I was nervous the whole time but I am confident for tomorrow 😊😊

The best tutorial/tip guide ever! I was wondering how to check the deliver to address as some areas in my State are literally MURDER. Thank you so very much. I did my first Dash yesterday and boy do I wish I would have seen this first lol.

Great video Pedro. Only suggestion: when you hold phone up to camera, please hold it there steady just a bit longer. It's very hard to see what you are referring to when you flash the phone in front of camera for less than 3 seconds. You know what you are pointing at, but as a new DAsher, I don't. Thanks!

As a customer it sucks when drivers stack orders. I had a driver go right past house AFTER the DoorDash app said they were approaching. Then he finally delivered it about 20 minutes later. More often than not I have a terrible experience if the driver takes additional orders (stacks). Now, I don't necessarily blame this on the driver since DoorDash allows it. But I just know as a customer when I see the driver has additional stops that I'll get cold food. It's really a gamble when ordering. I would gladly pay extra in my tip if I was guaranteed a direct delivery with no stacking. I wish they allowed for this.

Sounds like that driver doesn't know how to manage time efficiently or plan routes.

I'm 100 deliveries in and still learned some stuff. I'm starting Uber Eats tomorrow to see the difference and positives of working both on a slow time etc. Idk. Will see what makes the most amount of money 👍

Thank you for going back to basics. It’s good to review from time to time. Since I’ve been watching your channel, now my tips are always higher than base pay DoorDash pay. Keep up the motivation 😁

I love your tips and tricks. Thank you so much. I always accept anything $5 and up. But I realized from your T&T’s that I need to pay closer attention to how many miles I’m going to travel. Omg 😳 I hope when I start tomorrow, Monday that it doesn’t turn into a floppy Monday. I need the money badly but I can’t stand dashing for low tippers and long travels either.

Dude! Thank you so much for doing this! I’m a month in and I’m addicted. I live in a pretty rural area so I haven’t been checking miles before I go and some of them haven’t been worth it. At the moment, I’m in ACCEPT and go but I’m learning quickly that isn’t efficient. Gonna check out more of your videos now. Thanks bro!

we should all as drivers turn down every no tip order just out of principle until door dash forces 10% tip minimum.. anything less is just ridiculous..
@onegurl93 жыл бұрын
They may be thinking the door dash fee is the tip. Otherwise I can't see why no one would not tip. Don't they charge a delivery fee or something? That's NOT paid to the driver?
@anthonypeterson96862 жыл бұрын
You can’t have employees who receive no base pay… it would be even more illegal… they know that they are forcing many new employees to deliver at a rate that costs them as opposed to earning because they purposely try to influence their behavior by rating them based on accepting. This means door dash receives a base pay for no work while we hoof it for a rate that translate to us paying to work

I've driven for several years for Lyft, but your video helps to answer the questions I had. As a professional driver, for a large delivery company, may I suggest keeping your hands on the steering wheel and wearing your seat belt?

There is an Italian restaurant in my area that places orders (that aren’t pizzas!) in big cardboard trays. I use the space blanket to wrap around them when I have more than one (only one will fit in my large DD pizza bag).

One of the only problems with checking the items before you leave the restaurant right now is that some restaurants are still closing the bags and sealing them because of covid or at least they are in my area. So there's no way for you to check if the restaurant forgot something. 😕
