This is probably the question I get asked the most by prospective students, so here's a video explaining everything you need to know about what it's like to be a journalism student here at Northwestern University.
There's no hiding that I've had an extremely positive experience so far, but I did make sure to cover both sides and go through all the pros and cons.

Is it real that Northwestern journalism is print-based? Is four years of study there worth it, given the fact that modern journalism is developing a lot these days?

The intro courses include one for print/writing and one for video, then after your first year, you can design your Journalism track to match your specific interests! I've been in broadcast and video and we have loads of resources for it, so I would say it's worthwhile.

Required intro course of "philosophy of modern journalism"? Sounds questionable already.

Not a bad class at all. Don’t remember too much to be honest but it was chill and a great way to start getting used to being a college student!
