Shoilme - I am proud, though mostly a secular, Jew, the son of a father who survived the Shoah and fought in Israel in 1948. I was raised in a Conservative shul in the Detroit area, but for the last several years have attending and immensely enjoyed davening at a Chabad shul in San Diego, I have to tell you, I REALLY enjoyed all of the videos you made with Peter. I loved your tours of Boro Park, Williamsburg, and especially, Crown Heights (being a Chabadnik). I also very much enjoyed the Shabbat dinner video you made in Ramona NY and the tour of the recording studio in the farm house in Monsey. What I loved the most about it is, beyond learning some new things about Chassidim, was your and Peter's interactions. I also thought Peter was very open-minded, highly respectful of Jewish traditions, and seemed moved by their beauty. All in all, just a great experience - hope you do more!

I was brought up in Richmond, Va. and knew a few Jewish people and as I've gotten older working with some different people in the healthcare field has really opened my eyes. I don't understand alot of what I saw but then if we were all the same we would really be boring wouldn't we? Good luck to you and hope to see more. Shlomi, I found you through him. Decided to subscribe. I watch rabbi yosef mizrachi here on youtube and he lives there by you guys. He's mentioned burro park, Monsey etc. I watch the 2 to 3 hour lectures every day and became very close to the hasidic Jewish community. I think the rabbi is yesfaradi. But he speaks highly of the hasidic Jewish people. Was so cool to see details of it all. Seems very peaceful and so cool you guys have a group that goes out and helps people with their cars, power, etc. It's good peace of mind to know you'd have someone to call when in need of help. Wish we could have that here in my city and state. Maybe I cna start one. I'm not jewish, I'd like to convert, but I'm afraid of disappointing hashem. Maybe I'd insult the designer and creator? If I was meant to be inside the Jewish nation he'd put me there? Maybe it's my own responsibility to to seek it out perhaps? Confused. But enjoyed the content very much so! Would love to see more Shlomi! Liked your travel vids and saw you spending time w Arabs etc.

I want to see more of the Hasidic community in Brooklyn! Specifically Boro Park. I mentioned this on one of Peter's videos, but I worked in Boro Park for two years at an insurance brokerage (Avrumi Gottlieb) and this is when I first encountered Hasidim. I love the people I met and have extremely fond memories of them. I became very close friends with one coworker in particular, and we've maintained a friendship over the past two years that I've been out of the community. I can't wait until I'm able to take a trip to Boro Park, haven't visited since April of 2019.

Up till now the only stories told about the Hasidic community were from people who left the community. Their perspective was valid for them but presented a highly dysfunctional view of the community. As an Orthodox christian, the love of God and the ways of Hasidic centers God around there life , is so beautiful to me. I watch unorthodox after watching the documentaries and I cried, I cried for what she left behind and how beautiful and pure the life style..how powerful the meaning of wedding, and relationships. Shloime, I was really, really, really impressed by Peter's series. I watched most of the videos. I grew up in a small midwestern city in Conservative Judaism with a lot of exposure to modern Orthodox Judaism. I also lived in Israel for nearly seven years and served in the IDF. For much of my life, I had bought into the stereotype that most Hasidic men studied in yeshivot all day long, ignoring their families, and forcing their wives to struggle at home. Maybe there is a minority that is like this but, after watching Peter's videos, I realize this is as far from reality as is possible. Kol ha-Cavod to both you and Peter for bringing this out. BTW, I just subbed to your channel.

Dear Peter, I saw you interviewed by Allison Josephs of Jew in the City. I was intrigued by what you had to say and decided to check out your videos about the Hasidic community in NY. As a proud Jewish woman, I am so tired of being portrayed by negative stereotypes depicted by the uniformed and uneducated. From what I've read & seen, the people leaving (Orthodox) Jewish life are mostly from very disfunctional backgrounds. Hardly a diverse cross section & very sad. I admire what you have accomplished by portraying Hasidim as real and loving people. It is refreshing. I look forward to seeing your videos about other communities around the U.S. and the world at large. You tell stories with an open heart and an open mind. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of Jews everywhere. If others could look for the good in others as you do, I have no doubt there would be World Peace. I am not Hasidic. I am an American woman of Spanish (Sephardic) Jewish heritage. Our grandparents came from Turkey to the U.S. over 100 years ago. Our ancestry is from Spain be we were driven out during the Inquisition. But, "Sephardic" also refers to Jews from the Middle East, i.e., Yemen, Africa, Iran, Iraq, India & Asia. Our language, customs, foods, liturgy, etc. is quite different from the Hasidim. However, we share a love for our fellow man and the desire to show respect & sensitivity to others regardless of where they're from or how they live. We are all created in the image of G-d. Jews come from all races yet we are one people. Dear Shlomie, Chazah U'baruch & Kol HaKavod to opening your home, your community, other Hasidic communities and the hearts and minds of many. The friendship & respect you and Peter have for each other is exemplary. I think it's great and your sincerity really came through on all of the videos. I wish you both great success in all your endeavors, both personal and professional. Best, Judith Nassi Cohen Los Angeles

I am not from NY, nor am I Jewish, but I was raised in a city that has a very dynamic and vibrant Jewish (non Hasidic) community. Many of my friends and schoolmates were Jewish, so I probably had a more "open" opinion of these Jewish people. I've always been curious to learn more, though, especially about the Hasidim. To me, Jewishness is so much more than "just a religion". It is the story of a people and a way of life, almost a philosophy about life and God. This series is absolutely wonderful to me and I've learned to love Judaism and Jewish people even more through it. For my own small part, I'd like to personally thank Peter and Shloime and all of the kind and wonderful people of Boro Park, Williamsburg and Crown Heights for their participation and welcoming attitudes in these videos. Mazel Tov!!

This series was so informative and truly entertaining. I am taken by the commitment and discipline to God, family, religeon, lineage, respect for tradition, elders, the spirit of giving... You peeled back the onion a bit and you nailed it Shloime, you humanized yourself and the community. Great job and keep it going. I'm looking forward to watching your Middle Eastern adventures!

Kudos to you and Peter for taking the action to make the documentaries on the Hasidic community. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Great implementing.

Wow just wow!! Thank you Shloime for doing this. Thank you Peter for being respectful and courteous when filming. Thank you to those in the Hasidic community who came on camera to share, let us into your homes/life. And to teach about your community and your beautiful culture.

Non-Jew: I have never met or watched anything about your community. I am totally fascinated now. I did watch every single minute of every single video Peter has posted about you and have subscribed to this channel as well. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. We can learn a lot from you.

All good things must come to an end! Even though I'm jewish, this was VERY interesting to me, and somewhat inspiring as well. I hope that's not the last we see and hear from you both.

This is probably the most interesting video series I can remember in many years. I found the Hasidic community to be absolutely endearing. I was struck by the kindness of this community, I was just so impressed with how well thought out every detail was. Of course I was scared to death by how many details were prescribed by rules! But I would gladly study, for example, that model of marriage against every other model I've seen in my 65 years. It's so sad to be cast aside as you grow into maturity as a female because you're no longer what somebody wanted when they married you, which was a sex object frankly, because that is what our modern culture teaches us is valuable. When actually a mature woman is at the height of her value as a human being!

At about 4:54 you talked about how the series made your community look. I think it made your community look very warm, humble and most of all genuine. I loved the series. Run for elected office, Shloime. You can make a difference.

Loved the series. Born and raised in Brooklyn, but still gained insight. I have been telling everyone to watch. Intriguing to see a positive portrayal for once.

The chemistry was great. Peter has a gift. He is a people person and he really shows politics aside that most countries are full of good people. I loved the Hasidic series.

Excellent series with Peter -- thanks for opening up your world to those of us who need to know more -- and to the Arab world as well -- the more we know, the more alike we all are.

Thank you both for the series. My husband and I were in Manhattan in December 2019, during the Christmas season. Channukah was also in full swing at that time of the year and we saw many street celebrations and took part in a few put on by the Chabad Lubavitch. My son, who lives in Delaware, frequents a camera shop in Manhattan run by Orthodox Jews. We spent a couple of hours in that shop just talking to a very wonderful man who told us all about the Orthodox way of life besides just having a great chat with him on other topics! Such friendly, outgoing people.
