My Experience with the WIIM Ultra

First time watcher/new sub. I have the Wiim Ultra running through my Geshelli J2 (dac) to my Marantz 7706. The sound is wonderful. You have to get a dac of some sort the onboard dac is >good far from great. I'll check to see if I can view the album art on my tv. I'll let you know later. P.S. The entire Richard Elliot album is terrific.

I just got mine this week and my intentions with it was to make it a standalone streamer and connect my TT and CD player. I fed it into my vintage receiver and it sounds awesome. I then connected my BT speaker to it, which was a hassle and a half, but, eventually did connect, but, the sound is less than great due to the EQ getting bypassed when using BT(deal breaker #1). The other "major" deal breaker for me is connecting my BT speaker. Everytime I turn the Ultra on to use, I have to pair the speakers each and every time. It's as if it doesn't remember the speakers are paired to it. I contacted Crutchfield where I bought it from and the tech support contacted WiiM to find out if this is normal, still waiting for a response btw. I'm sad because everything else works very well, cd, tt, spotify etc, all except BT. I'm pretty much set on returning it and looking into other options.

Just use your phone to Bluetooth speaker ha not a problem at all .

I think your thought about adding storage or Apple Music. Is way too much I love the cost of the ultra simple plug the HDMI into your tv you’ll see the artist album cover.

Are you using the RCA outputs when going into your Marantz? Make sure that you are.

If you can't plug in your own SSD full of music, I'm in trouble - as that's the main reason I'm buying it 🙂 Don't worry, you can....it goes into the USB socket 👍 And old Darko wants what you want - this is his workaround for displaying on TVs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rabKY2d8gp6BiNk
