My experience working at Zara

I have been working for 2 weeks at Zara now! My location is a lot less chaotic and I’m stuck in the kids section so it’s not as bad as women ( I watch women section getting destroyed on sales like 🤭👁👄👁) it’s my first retail job and I thought I would like it a lot, but so far I kind of dread it. Perhaps I’m not used to it, but I’m super exhausted and my feet hurt and ir’s really hard to talk to other coworkers like I don’t have timeeeeee. And I don’t know I have a feeling the manager for the kids section thinks I’m stupid??? She’s new as well... the time I do have off is for mentally preparing myself to go there again. Best part of the job are the security workers and the “veterans” who formed me. Absolute babies. Clients are generally very respectful, I just stay calm and kind and everything goes smooth, so kudos to them too.

Wow when you said you use your time off to prepare to go back in… felt that. Sounds like your location isn’t terrible though. With retail you do kinda have to take the good with the bad 😌

Yeahhhhhh I just gotta tough it out because it’s just for the summer! I hope it gets better and I’m better used to it too :))) because it’s not all bad but yknow haha. I really liked your video tho, I’m also starting to think maybe retail is not the number one for me

Hi! I have been working at Zara for long time....and that is my problem😅... When I changed job, I could see how much time I have lost in Zara. It is a toxic environment from which you will never learn anything to be reused in a different brand. I totally agreed with you, about everything you have said. I would add: - Unprofessional management. - Ugly products (copies of copies) - Lowest salary ever. - Boring tasks. - Aggressive customers. - Zero training. - Zero skills. - Zero English. ...and often ZERO TOILET PAPER.... ZARA? I rather say ZERO!

I worked at Zara for three days now and I’m ready to go 🤣 I work in new collections and sales mostly so I’m constantly either cleaning up sales, running around putting stuff back, or I’m looking for products.

Working at zara is the worst!!! Managing is soo poor and the type of customers… seriously people Zara is not Channel. Don’t expect excellent customer service when you paid $20 dollars T-shirt. These poor people work their asses off.

I worked at Oysho and the work environment was so toxic 😐 I left the job asap 😂 and for the salaries, they're shit. Not worth the stress.

I go in tomorrow for paperwork and docs and I wanted to know do they put your first pay check in the hole or your paid during the timing of a new pay period you enter on?

They’ll just have you wear all black for a bit. I’m not sure about how other locations provide uniforms because mine was a hot mess lol

I don’t see anything wrong with planning to be there short term but I wouldn’t let managers know that during the interview process. They may be reluctant to hire someone for that short period. If I were you, I’d just put my notice in two weeks before you leave for school. Good luck! ☺️

I think it varies on location but at the one I worked at you had to be 18
