My Face Tattoo Journey is Done

After getting my last two empty spots filled up, I am done with my 5 year face tattoo journey. Let me take you along in how I started this whole project.

I think anyone just should look - and create its look - the way they love to look and FEEL. Its always a bit difficult to find your AUTHENTIC self due to all the inluence from whereever you are influenced from ;). I mean, we all are influened by others. Thats just our nature. But I guess its understandable what I would like to say? I always was - since my youth - a big fan of tattoos and pierings. That wasn't popular at this time. Also I grew up in a little village. Yeah, and especially I went for piercings first. I just have very few left. Today its just 'usual' everyone has a piericing. Kk, not everyone, but you know .. I also was in love with full body or lets say, heavy tattoos, since my youth. For me this all was also an expression of a 'subculture' and well, yes, being different or lets say, haveing different perspectives and opinions on society, politics, values and so on. I loved that it was a kind of that expression. I have to confess I do not really like the fact that today anyone gets a little tattoo or has at least one tattoo but just for 'fashion amd trend'. I might be to rude or to superficial with this. I stopped my tattoo journey out of private reasons many years ago. I always wanted more but well, life was very busy and I saw the change in this 'industry' as well. When I got my full sleeve and finger, 12 years ago, as a woman, with also visible piercings, living in a smaller town, I really also had to live with 'staring' at me, talking behind my back and even I got 'not nice' comments to hear (from, sorry, but so true, OLD WHITE men 😅😢). I NEVER liked to be very visible or in the focus and this really 'f*cked me up' .. I just got some little ones more, 10 years ago and am sad about it - in a way - planing on some new big ones for years now but feeling a kind of ... how to say it ... 'insecurity' I never felt about it before (not talking about consequences, more about I WANT IT - it 'expresses me' ... I don't know. I still am in love with tattoed people - depending on the charisma, of course, and the aura. But its much harde to know why the got tattoed and there often is no 'message' behind and its just worn as an accessory what I personally just do not like. Of course we also put ink in our skin because we love the look but thats not JUST IT. Is it understandable? I hate to be so much judging but I guess, I have to accept this as a part of myself, too. 🤷‍♀️ To finish it and maybe 'calm down the waves': We all have to find a way to live our lifes authentically (!), in harmony with our personal values and for our well being and not swimming with the mainstream or majority and authority. I think thats our 'aim' in life. So, everyone has, of course, even that we all are the same and one, a different path. Have a wonderful week!
