@@Former_Pastor We see it everyday including in the perseverance of people who reply on a KZbin comment of all places, to try and bash someone's faith just because theirs got rocked. I am sorry if someone hurt you, if situations took everything from you, if things that seemed like they make no sense happened to you... You are not the only one in that boat. There are simply some of us who decide to keep holding on, even when in the blink of an eye, we might lose everything. And, heck no, we aren't perfect. We are human, filled with failures, sometimes even anger, frustrations... We breathe like you. You started a path - if your username speaks for that, forgive me if I assume - and it is still there for you to take back when you feel able to. People will disappoint you. You will at times feel alone. Situations will make it harder to believe, but what else is there that is better? The human spirit? Have you see humanity lately? No, good, sir. No. God bless you, and I do hope, honestly, as if you were my brother who suffered so badly, that you come back. Life will continue to be harsh, but in the least, you will find that seeing people of faith just talk about what they love will not bother you as much as it seemed to, to provoke a reaction.

Or did you more than likely walk away with your nose in the air thinking that everyone owes you something, and trying to figure out how you can take advantage of someone’s misfortune? Because God didn't just destroy everything he has. First, just because God didn't stop it from happening doesn't mean he is the one that caused it. God has and probably will again punish humans with natural disasters but not ALL natural disasters are God's wrath, some are done by Satan and some are just that NATURAL disasters, just something that happens on Earth. And, regardless of who caused it or why it happened he didn't take "everything this man has", far from it actually. This man still has his life and his health and he was completely unharmed, he said his kids were unharmed, his other family wasn't hurt or killed. His piano obviously means a lot to him and while this tornado leveled cinderblock buildings, tore away half of this man's home, was clearly far more powerful than it needed to be to pick up his piano and destroy it instead it seems the piano is almost completely untouched. This man has a lot to be thankful for and he understands that, much to thank God for, and I'd say that's only a tiny fraction of what he is thankful of at time like this. If you think the only things that matter in a person's life are the material things or that a house and the belongings in it are what make a life, a home or bring happiness you have very little in life to truly be thankful for or your priorities are very screwed up. People like you that make comments such as this one have been so busy ridiculing Christians for their faith that you've obviously never actually taken the time to learn exactly what it is they believe or why they believe it. You Clearly know nothing about the Bible or this comment wouldn't exist. People think because there is suffering and tragedy in the world it's God's fault and there's no divine reason behind why it is that way, but that's not true. People think God should have made Earth Heaven instead with no pain, tragedy, sorrow but it is the way it is for a reason, many reasons actually. It's far too much to try to explain In a comment section on YT but I suggest you actually read a Bible and maybe have a pastor help you interpret it before commenting like this in the future. You don't make anyone, particularly the Christian, look ignorant just yourself. My favorite poem is "Footprints in the Sand" which describes a man discussing with God why during good times he saw 4 footprints indicating God was walking with him during those good times. But, then asks why during the most difficult times only 2 footprints as if God wasn't with him then. God explained it was at those times, the worst ones, God was carrying him. Yes, it's just a poem but very much true IF you understand your Bible and have faith. Times like this aren't the times to blame God for them happening but to thank him for stopping them from being far worse. God and the Bible to people like you are no different than a round Earth to a Flat Earther, just because you don't have the capability of believing in God and understanding the Bible it doesn't somehow make it less true.
@forschoolM2 жыл бұрын
This is a perfectly valid question, but one that may be too in-depth to try to explain in one KZbin comment. My short attempt would be to say that, number one, in the beginning it was humanity’s fault that there is suffering in the world. All the terrible things that happen are simply a ripple effect of the first evil that was ever done. God is in ultimate control of everything that happens, but man is not blameless in the situation and there are consequences for wrong. Another observation is that the earth is the kingdom of Satan, Heaven is the kingdom of God. Those who put their trust in God are in a sense ‘foreigners’ here. We are not Home yet, but are passing through the enemy’s territory. When you are in enemy territory, you naturally expect to be attacked by your enemy. Many of the ‘bad’ things that happen to people who believe in God are a result of those attacks, and when we turn to God for help, we are simply seeking assistance from a power stronger than our own or our enemy’s. As I said, that is an over-simplified answer, but I hope it is helpful. I would also like to apologize for anyone claiming to be a ‘Christian’ who posts an unkind comment back to you. While it is hurtful to have our beliefs criticized by people who are ignorant of our motives behind them, we ourselves are not living up to them if we are rude in response. Christ teaches kindness, not retaliation. And besides, how is anyone going to learn if they do not ask questions?! I appreciate your question and hope my attempt to answer was helpful.
