I could almost taste the marinade you used for the chicken as you listed the ingredients. Definitely going to try it in the Joe, just going to have to find a way to do it without the Joetisserie. Another great video!

Oil (guessing a cup or 2) 2 tsp paprika 2tsp cumin 1 tsp white sugar 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp allspice 1/2 tsp coriander 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cayenne powder Red pepper flakes optional Black pepper Pinch of salt 1/4 tsp cardamom

General rule of thumb for what its worth - if you mix the dry together before adding to the oil its much more even a mix

That looks delicious. I've got to make this. Great call on using dark meat. I'd noticed some of the better shawarma joints, they make the bread kiss the drippings on the bottom of the pan. Pretty sure you have got "naan" left over.

Would the pan fit in a joe jr? Especially the height (8in). There are alternative pans that are shorter diameter, but usually always that same height.

it just stuck fine... its fairy vertical when open... but using soapstone or cast iron is easier

Same issue as last week with the audio. I have a day job and had two days to record videos for august before leaving for 3 weeks.. thought it covered up some of the background noise

@@SmokingDadBBQ I'm on a one-main campaign to convince KZbinrs that their voice (background noises or no) is infinitely better than music loops. Music loops are repetitive and the worst ones are annoying just because of the repetition. Cooking with Ry is the only channel I watch that has a useful background music loop most times, but even that can become too much. The Wood Fired Oven Chef has soothing music (and burning wood crackles) that are OK, but even that gets to be a bit much. Using music as a transition or when there is no narration has its place, but most of the time background music is a distraction, not an aid. The centerpiece should be the expert narrative. One man's opinion...

And the intro/pause musik is the same level as when you speak. You are not bad at this, but other KZbins do this all the time, with very loud music. My ear drums are wrecked.
