HORROR FILM lover Cat Nguyen has transformed herself into what she calls a 'gothic barbie'. The glamour model from Orange County, California, has spent over $100,000 on modifying her body. She embarked on her plastic surgery journey at the age of 19 after her 'boss promised to double her pay if she got a boob job'. Not everyone in Cat's life was supportive of her decision - especially her family, Cat told truly. "My family hates my plastic surgery. They don't want anything to do with it. They don't want to be seen with me in public looking like this. That makes me feel very sad because I love my parents." Growing up in a conservative American-Vietnamese household, Cat felt like her parents 'had full control over her life' until she went to college where she was able to 'spread my wings and wild out'. Although Cat is now happy with her looks, she hopes that her family would accept and support her one day. "If my parents ever decide to support my plastic surgery, that is gonna be the happiest thing in my life," she added.

I think as long as you give them the right mindset when they’re young, you don’t have much to worry. I’m 25 now and literally can remember every single thing that my mum told me that effected me. In a good way. For instance when I was in 3rd grade I would watch the W.I.T.C.H but I remember her commenting on Winx Club out of nowhere and saying “I can’t understand why your friends like it. They all have tiny waist, tall frame, same body shape and long hair. There’s no such girl in real life.” That day, I became a little rebel 😂

Body dysmorphia, they don't have a realistic view of their body, so they feel the need to change it. I have NO problem with people getting plastic surgery, but if you're gonna do that, you have to ignore the haters. I have about 30 piercings in my face/neck and quite a few visible tattoos. My choice, no one else's. I wouldn't care if someone said "I'll raise your pay rate if you take out all of your piercings", I would say, nice working with you, but I'll be finding another job. I won't work somewhere that would pressure or try to pressure me into anything. I mean what the hell do piercings and tattoos do to hinder someone's ability to work? Nothing. I mean I'm sure she's on OF and/or sugar daddies. If a boss ever tried to do that to me, I'd be like I'm outta here! Who knows what else they may do. And could have even kick-started this whole plastic surgery addiction into gear. I know she said she wanted to look plastic, but to me it seems like it didn't start that way. It's just sad how people judge people by their looks. A lot of people used to think I was mean or a drug addict because I have piercings and tattoos. Once they got to know me though, well, literally everyone I know calls me sweet. I will say I am going to get a necessary surgery, I'm trans and I need to have my top surgery done, in my case it is absolutely necessary. In her case... Not so much. I have to wonder, but it doesn't seem like she's tried any therapy!! I mean I'm all for looking however you want, but if it stems from something else, I would suggest at least a therapist!

Usually when I see these videos the women or men featured come across as very vapid and that their whole personality revolves around their extensive surgeries, but the woman in this video actually comes across as very intelligent and emotionally intelligent. I think when people end up embracing this sort of look they've usually gone through some sort of trauma either with their parents or with society that's made them feel like they have to change. I get that we as women can be made to feel like our natural selves aren't good enough. I really hope that her parents learn to accept her as she currently is because what's done is done. It is a bit sad i think that she felt the need to change that much though because she was a really beautiful person before and its kind of sad that she doesnt really look asian anymore but if this is what makes her happy, then everyone should just accept that and treat her normally and well.

I don't understand why people do this to themselves. Yes it's freedom of choice but extreme surgery signifies mental health problems and deep insecurities. I think a lot of the time it's about wanting attention and being noticed. It's because it looks obvious and it effects their natural facial expressions. The Kardashians don't count as they aren't models or actors.
