This kind of thing I why I work through holidays, I don't have the patience for family problems nor the tolerance to put up with that many people in one place. Id rather drop in for a quick chat with each relative and drop off gifts then go home. No baby sitting or having to help with huge meals or coordinating anything. I'm lazy and I am totally ok with not attending events. 😂

None of it would have happened if they had just rotated shifts. 90 mins to 2 hours per parent and the aunt if she wants to. Still gives plenty of time for family stuff and food. It works and you rotate the time periods each holiday. Or you keep everyone in the same room and the adults watch the kids as they have their conversations which is how it was in my family.
