I'm sorry to hear that you don't get a lunch. I know how difficult that is because that's my work situation too. I find that under these circumstances,eating a hearty breakfast is absolutely essential if you want to make it through the day. I rotate through a variety of grains that I cook in a pressure cooker in order to save on cooking time. I like my porridge plain so I eat my fruit separately while I'm waiting for the grains to cook thus saving more time. Having a belly full of whole grains really carries me through the day and keeps me from "crashing".

+William Albert I actually don't have a 9:00 to 5:00 job, but sometimes I am out all day and have to skip lunch, so I need to eat a good breakfast. Koreans eat a lot of porridge -- congee. I grew up eating rice, seaweed, and kimchi for breakfast many mornings. Sometimes on the weekends I eat Korean food for breakfast still. What you make sounds wonderful and nutritious!!

+Yin & Yang Living Usually tomato, salad and cucumber. Bell pepper is nice too. I always put some black pepper on my tomatoes because that's just goood. I don't know the english word for the salad I use, but it kinda looks like an oak leaf and it's also a bit healthier than regular salad. Rye bread is a Finnish classic and it's really tasty and good carbs :)

A skip breakfast all the time because I never feel like eating in the morning! My throat is always sore when I wake up so that doesn't help. When I was in China last month I ate Baozi, rice and noodles for breakfast. Now I am back in the UK I feel lost. The supermarkets around me have a terrible selection of fresh fruit and veg - because they all cater to students and students are infamous for their lack of cooking skills -__- I do like the fruit/cereal combos! But if I am not in the mood I'd be tempted to just eat cocoa pops (sigh). Making up your own breakfasts is something I would like to do when my life is calmed down! PS there's also oat milk which is again very different. OuO I like a rice milk variety called rice dream. It's from Thailand I think.

Yin & Yang Living My dad made some of that when he was living/working in Korea :) see my father was born abroad on a British airbase & lived there until a war kicked off (Cyprus). When he was 18 he joined the Navy (a few months later he was at war!) so he is very well traveled. He can adapt really well to any country - and loves learning to cook the local food. He learned to cook from his Korean coworkers. My partner was eating a lot of Korean-style rice porridge whenever we went to this one restaurant. In the UK we have rice pudding which is sweet, and eaten for after dinner :P And Baozi is so good ~_~ my local Asian store does them fresh...lol sorry for my little essay xD

@workingclasssocialist416
@workingclasssocialist416 8 жыл бұрын
Yin & Yang Living Rice pudding is just so good, and we have a famous canned brand that is made in my county :) (actually I have no idea how we made rice pudding in the UK - rice doesn't grow here and we've been eating rice pudding LONG before the Empire, which is what bought in a lot of exotic food stuffs such as tea & spices. I guess our rice came from the Med) but the homemade baked stuff...and we use full-fat milk and cinnamon in ours. Your sounds great! And Baozi are Chinese buns with filling! And yes congee is what she had. Word of advice, don't eat Korean Air's in-flight fish congee :( not nice. Hehe.

yes, you are right, which is why I eat only organic soy. I know some people do not do well with soy, but as an Asian, my body does well, and I only buy organic for the GMO reason. Also corn is the same, buy only organic corn if you eat corn (I avoid corn as much as possible)

@yinandyangliving
@yinandyangliving 8 жыл бұрын
+joe dennis wow, you do Asian breakfast too huh? what is nattos?
@JoeDennis1
@JoeDennis1 8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do eat Asian Breakfast . Natto is Japanese fermented soybeans . Sometimes people call them sticky beans or stinky beans . You can buy them in little styrofoam boxes in the freeze section in many Asian groceries . To buy them is a little pricey . I make my own by fermenting my own ,using a yogurt maker be the culture needs a warmer temperature. Natto has the highest level of Vitamin k2 and is high in B vitamins . Being fermented they are easily digested . An as little as n eighth of an onion can reduce chance of heat attack.
