They don’t need a better nest yet, because it’s still quiet a small colony. Like he said they can grow to about 30k. Imo he should move them to a terrarium or add another nest when they have about 10k. Btw I’m an ant keeper myself.

I kicked an ant pile (on purpose) about 10 years ago - after I kicked it, I saw that I had severely injured (prob fatally) the queen and then I felt awfully horrible and sad about it. I’ve never kicked an ant hill again - and when I see a trail of wants while walking, I’ll watch my steps and step over their line. I still feel bad about it to this day.
