When Holocaust survivor Aryeh Goldberg passed away, he left his son, Tzachi, his gold Patek Phillippe watch. On opening the box, Tzachi found an old black and white photo of two women hidden behind the watch.
Searching the Yad Vashem Central Database of Shoah Victim's Names for information about the two unknown women in the picture, Tzachi was astonished to discover a Page of Testimony for a woman named Chaya Holzberg Goldberg and her two daughters, signed by Tzachi's father. Further research uncovered his father’s Holocaust secret - before the War, Aryeh had been married to Chaya with whom he had two daughters, only for the girls and their mother to be cruelly murdered during the Holocaust.
For more than 60 years, Yad Vashem has been working tirelessly to uncover the names of victims and their stories. Even today unknown details are coming to light, making this effort more relevant than ever.
Please support our vital mission commemorating the victims, paying tribute to the survivors and educating future generations

I am visiting with my daughter and her family. I watched my two grandchildren, ages 2 and 5 months wake up this morning. If I had to cover the baby's mouth to protect us all, the grief would take away my will to live. Why is there war? Why do human beings kill each other? Why is genocide still happening??? I am not a religious person but I do believe there will be judgement and it will be brutal.

This is so upsetting to watch its hard to imagine how cruel people can be, I just can't And it's not just the Nazis but the countries that knew what was happening and made no effort to rescue at least the woman and children some Coe wouldn't even accept them as Immigrants and sent the back to Germany or Poland

What an amazing inner strength to stifle his thoughts, feelings, emotions, tears, rage and memories through all those terrible holocaust years so as not to burden his family ! Great respect to him and all the brave souls who suffered immensely at the hands of the Nazis.

How this came to be from the beginning is beyond me. How the people of the world today carpet over this entire genocide and dont even speak of it is to add to the atrocity.

Well I was dry eyed until I saw the teddy bear. IN A book named "Hitler's War on Cancer" it explained that a Jewish MD was the physician who treated Hitler's mom for cancer when he was a boy and he blamed him for not saving her. He kept that doctor alive through the war for revenge. Also he had a plan to give the allies cancer by putting poison on food in the form of pesticides and having Germans go holistic. Such madness bringing such sadness. ⭐

Contrast the beauty of that child, with the unthinkable terror the German people inflicted on the world, and you have the opposite ends of the universe.

I wonder that the man says his mother died in Majdanek while the page of testimony #888610 (filled out by his father!) states that she died in Treblinka???
