Changed the title sorry if it was misleading, my intentions was to catch a couple of fish, show of the islands features then have the bogus ranger tell me to leave, I did that but knowing how I had a legal rite to fish there but I still left. I also new how woke these guys are and took my hook of the line sat the rod down and waited to be picked up by the boys. Did not know he wanted to take my rod and that's why I called him a Karen, I was struggling to keep a straight face as I was going Karen on him, that's the story if you don't like it fair enough.

I have two questions. 1) I visited Cockatoo Island recently. I don't remember seeing any "No Fishing" signs. So are there "No Fishing" signs scattered around the island ? 2) If there is no fishing on the island, how close to the island can you go in a boat, to fish the same kind of structure ?

It's a bit contentious. The Cockatoo Island website says no fishing on the Island., but apparently maps says its ok?!? Dont think they have to require physical signs stating it as the Sydney Opera House doesnt have signs either, but would you fish there?

In the Australian bream fishing tournaments they have very strict rules and they allow us to fish there but if asked to leave out of courtesy leave not because it is illegal to fish there..

Aaron, this is the first time I've watched one of your vids and have been disappointed. There's a difference between a Karen not minding her own business, and a guy just trying to do his job. Did he overstep the mark by threatening to take your rod, yes, but there's still no need to publicly shame him when you clearly had the intent of doing the wrong thing by fishing there at the beginning. mate it is legal to fish there, I had less than 5 cast, took my hook off after talking to him and then he decided to come and take my rod off me while waiting for the boys that's why his in the video. As far as racism a certain type of people are being pushed out of Sydney and that is the fisherman.

There is not going to be a specific law that outlaws fishing on Cockatoo Island. The Island is managed by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust under the authority of the SYDNEY HARBOUR FEDERATION TRUST ACT 2001, so if the Trust designates that fishing is not permitted on the Island, then it's not permitted. But you do you mate

mate I am looking at a map of the entire Sydney harbour no fish zones, and as I said on the video to the security guard it is illegal to fish speck island and the area around it as it is under naval and commonwealth control, Cockatoo is not and on the map shows it is legal to fish there, the trust does not want fisherman but ironically I can pay for a venue there a run a fishing comp. As far as the electric bike, boys will be boys and there always going to annoy the fun police, not much I can do about that. I did bate the security guard as well, that wasn't hard when he told me no fishing I took the hook off put it in the lure packet to show I would comply to his demand and sat on the jetty waiting for the boys. That's all it took and yeah I filmed it for a bit of fun remember boys will be boys.

@@WindsorBaitAndTackle @ yep Governent trust does not allow fishing on Cockatoo Island and states it on Cockatoo island website.Until recently is was listed as naval and you were not allowed on there at all. Same reason you can’t fish on private jetties and marinas. I suppose if you’re the type who uses “boys will be boys” as an excuse to break the law it’s not worth explaining these things to you. But I’d say you should change the title of your movie to “Karen goes fishing” as it would make more sense.

@@anthony-1357 My father had the grass cutting and maintenance contracts in the eighties there where I worked there a lot for him, been fishing there land and boat ever since with no issues until the trust took over. You have to remember I am a fisherman and you keep taking the bait lol.
