If y'all have any cheap tools that you think are cool, let me know in the comments - I'll try em out and include them in the next video... so make sure they're cheap

In my experience, I have grown to really like the solder sticks for connecting wires. They are basically a butt connector, but rather than crimping, they are see through, have solder built in, and aggressive rings at each end that is all encased in the clear heat shrink. Use your torch, or a heat gun and the solder melts inside, as well as the rings shrinking to bite the ends of the insulation, all encased in a very tough heat shrink. The cheap Amazon ones work just fine and will make splicing wires easy and professional looking.

I’ll have to get spray can handles. That’s a really good idea. Thanks

Great list. I would add pry bars. Cheap as dirt and i have used mine way more than i thought i would when i bought them.

haha I am slowly growing a collection of pry bars myself, good suggestion!

Yep. A good selection of bars is invaluable. Not just standard bars... heel bars are super helpful for prying, and as a spud to align bolt holes when there's tension involved, like when replacing bushings and you need to get the lower control arm to line up with the bolt holes, for example.

Telescoping magnetic pick-ups are great until they break . i spun up some mechanics wire and attached the magnetic head

Indeed. I epoxied a magnet to the tip of a Nite-ize gumby tie. Flexible when you want... stiff enough to retrieve an impact socket that decided to leave the gun and roll down the frame rail.

imo those are massive soldering irons, not really that handy inside of the car or any actually limited space, check pinecil, ts100 or similar. ofc those doesn't have build in powersource but u can use small flexible wire and hook it to powertool battery, car battery, powerbank ect

welp, off to buy a spray can adapter

very good ideas thank you!!!

Soldering is not good for cars that are bouncing down the road. That will eventually develop micro cracks and you’ll be chasing electrical problems all the time. It’s much better to use the correct size bare splice connectors and heat shrink. Once you get it tight on the wire you can pull the entire harness out of the car and it will never come apart.
