I've had really good luck with the rapala OTUS for big pike. I don't get to fish for musky as much as I'd like to but I'd imagine it would be a great bait for musky. Great video Sam!

Boggs is a local (ish) company. I have one of his sinister spin lures. I've raised a bunch of fish on it, but haven't hooked up yet. I know it's just a matter of time. A couple of times being on the bank casting over the weed edges cost me when I got snagged with a hot fish on it. I only recently got a rod that'll throw rubber of any size, so I only have one big rubber bait so far. Have a great Christmas Sam!

Sam, the Boggs Sinister Spin was on fire earlier this week. Caught a fish after work both Monday and Tuesday, then had another follow and go around for a couple of turns on the eight. All in about five hours of fishing.

Hey I just got a new tranx 400 like yours , n my buddy wanted to try a cast n got a huge birds best so I was trying to get it out but it was the deepest knot I ever saw. So I was cutting all my line off the reel to get it untangled, n I accidentally put a little nick in the edge of the metal spool. I literally didn't get but 5 casts with it I was so mad. Do u think shimano would fix it or send me a new one , or do u think I should maybe try to sand it out a bit?

Its not affecting the smoothness of the reel but I don't want it to get worse n ruin it. Idk

Yea I wouldn’t bother doing anything to it. It won’t affect the reel at all.

Jeb Zirkle go the VDGIF website. It tells you what the river is like for each stretch of the river and what fish are commonly caught there. You want to look for areas where they say there are deep pools
