yay! I definitely will! I know it's not a lot of us bookworms who come on KZbin, but I really love sharing this side of me and I think more young girls and women should be encouraged to make reading a normal part of their life so no doubt I'll keep doing these videos at least once a year!

I am half way through my first book of 2018 LOL. You along with a close friend of mine have inspired me to get back into reading. I used to be such a bookworm when I was younger but college ruined my love of reading so now I'm inching my way back into it and I've missed it so much!!! Thank you for the recommendations. A couple of the books you've named I've heard several people rave about. I hope to get to at least a couple of them next year!

Thanks for this, Amber! I’m a book worm too. Excited for you to read Becoming...I just finished it and it was good. My other favorite autobiography was Trevor Noah’s Born A Crime. My favorite fiction book this year was Washington Black. I need to pick up The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k. I thought it was a gimmick, but so many people have said it was good. Broke Homie Tuan yes! I was the same way ending last year. I think I only read MAYBE 3 books last year. And this year I said I really wanted to get back to it because as a teenager and young adult I KEPT my nose in a book! I truly feel like it feeds my spirit and my anxiety is overall lower when I read.

I read over 20 books this year and two of them from your list that I also read are 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' and 'The Hate U Give.' I enjoyed them both. I also just finished Michelle Obama's book 'Becoming' - I hope you give us your take on it when you complete it. I will be checking out Tiffany Haddish's 'The Last Black Unicorn' in 2019! :)

You saying you're a little bit long in the tooth cracked me up because my mom says that and I've never heard anyone else say that before. 😂😂😂 I read THUG and I loved it. If you like fantasy, you should try reading The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemison. It is a trilogy and I'm currently reading the second one, but the first is so good I have to recommend it. The author and the characters are black and you don't get that often in fantasy.

The time stamp of the video is always visible *before* you click on the video. Meaning you know how long it is before you decide to watch. “Too long” is relative. Too long for whom?
