Great video. You explained the brushes you have so well. It's so true that we get talked into buying brushes that other people like to use and then become disappointed when they don't work as well for us. I also get so confused when a brush use is being explained, and we’re told that it can do multiple things when in fact most people use each brush for a specific purpose.

Thanks! I ordered the Z-11, 1.5 and #7 from Beautylish during the gift card event. I too have gotten back into makeup after a long break. I was actually a MUA in my 20’s .I also fell down a KZbin rabbit hole...which brought me to you and many others. I’ve really made up for lost time💸💸 trying to work with a much changed canvas. I have had my Chikuhodo Z11 for about 18 months now and I adore it for a final blend as well. The Sonia G mini booster has also become a favorite for the crease. I will have to look at the mykitco crease brush that you recommended.

I have very hooded (asian) eyes also... and my holy grail brushes are: Mac 239, Mac 217, WG #18, Sonia G mini booster. I also felt like the sonia G builder 3 was useless. I also like the smith 257 because it's tiny but it's floppy so I prefer my Mac 239.

I SO agree with you that a brush that is “good” for everything isn’t good for anything. Finding good brushes for older eyes with their many changes is a real challenge!

I'm not too big on face brushes, really. I have two powder brushes, a single blush brush (though recently ordered another) and a couple of foundation brushes that I don't use very often. I'm afraid the video would be 7 minutes long - lol - but maybe will do if I don't have any product to talk about

No, not scratchy - just not the right shape for me. I recently got a Chikohodo pencil brush that I LOVE for under the eyes. It's very soft.

“...shape with aloe...” I am SO intrigued! How do you do this???

I let them dry for a a little while - depends on the weather - could be 10 minutes or half an hour. Then I put some aloe vera gel in the palm of my hand, dip the brush in it, and shape the brush. Not too much gel, you're not soaking it. It will dry as it's shaped. When you use it after - just brush lighttly on your hand and the dried gel falls away - but the shape remains
