I do not expect you to read it but maybe on coincidence you'd get motivated by these words if you decided to read. I only can believe how's it hard to create a constant and live content and yet not having any great jump up (10 000 subs is already a great success). But that's kind of a feeling of deserved and received on a substantial contrast. Because your content is so well set, the design and general key details that differ your self from the other at this platform. Every time now I wanna wish you to be able to have this as a job with a sufficient income. NO matter what you do to be so steady at your channel, you gotta go far longer now, it is a beautiful opportunity that you dug for yourself and keep it so far. Have a great success.

Thank you my friend! Ya it's been a long fight. Been doing it 3 years and have 17K subs. On one hand, it's a good number. In another sense, I look at GothamChess and I don't even have 1% of what he has. Comparison can be joy-sucking. That said, this channel is all I'm doing at the moment! I don't make nearly enough with AdSense to make a living, but I have been able to get chess students through the channel, which has definitely been a blessing. At this point I am technically part-time in terms of income but getting closer to full-time. Really appreciate this comment man. It can be hard to keep going but I gotta keep pushing for what I believe can work.

Have you seen the Halosar gambit? aka Halosar trap in the Blackmar Deimar gambit If I remember correctly, it's like this: d4 d5 e4 dxe4 Nc3 Nf6 f3 exf3 Qxf3 Qxd4 Be3 Qb4 0-0-0 Bg4 ... Nb5!! But I don't have time to check right now, so forgive any mistake there may be. :P The Blackmar Deimer in general I feel is underrated, though typically it's not best to play this way. Knight should capture on f3, and White should aim for rapid development / attack. I suppose it's not necessarily a gambit that aims for a winning endgame so much as just a stronger middlegame.

Very useful ideas for the one's opening choice. I'm very interested in deeper anylyses of your Caro Can suggestion. If white refuse to play Sf3 allowing Lg4 and plays Se2 or h3 with Sf3 what happens with black's Lc8? Supposed Ld3 is played then only option is again Lf5 with Lxf5 gxf5. Can you give us please advice for the further play? How to use these double pawns on the f file? Looks to me that open g file should be the main benefit for black but white can casttle queenside. How to play this very sharp position? To casttle long as well as white? Thanks in advance.

I only learned the old benoni because i HATE the slow positions from d4. I needed something to counter it, after trying the dutch, englund gambit, KID, and it was just too slow.

Dear Solomon, if you want to know how to deal with your black knight’s tango when white plays 3. Nf3, you can check Miodrag “the butcher” about it. Many variations, possibilities and attacking games.

Thank you my brotha! Appreciate you man. I'm hoping to do both, but at the moment just teaching. I did a recap on the Magnus Carlsen vs Ian Nepomniachtchi World Championship and it didn't get many clicks. Since my audience is smaller, I have to do more "searchable stuff." But as I grow I am looking to branch out. For example, when I was super small, I found that only opening videos got attention. I can't simply post a video called "WHY?" and get attention to it. So I did nothing but searchable content for awhile, and now I'm branching into less searchable content but still somewhat searchable. As the channel grows I plan to do more creative ideas. Anyways, sorry you prolly didn't want all that info haha. Thanks for the kind words brotha, truly humbled.

@@TheChessGiant Thanks a million for what you are doing! Keep up the good work 🙂 I really loved the one about Philidor defense, so many people just thrash this opening, saying it’s passive and bad. But knowing plans and how to deal with the structure makes the difference. Many wishes as well for the end of the year, X-mas and stuff!

All good stuff, thank you. I want to mention that the Hedge Hog + Sicilian Kan plays a lot like the Hippo only, I believe, better. Can be played with black or white. Is not as well known. The only challenge is how to deal with 1.d4. Keep up the interesting videos!

I have pretty much gotten to the point that no matter what white opens with I play g6, Bg7, and c5 or c6. I will transpose to the Gurgenidze system or variations of the Modern Defense, the Pirc, or the Kings Indian Defense, defending on how white plays. White can try to lead things into me playing a Hippo Defense if I play the Tigers Modern, but so far that hasn't been an issue.
