This is a criminally underrated video. You make some of the best videos for us beginners. Thanks!

Pawn to a4: You open with a4. Opponent plays d5: They control the center. b4: You push the pawn to attack d5 or prepare further moves. e5: The opponent plays another central pawn. Bishop to a3: You develop your bishop to put pressure. Knight to c6: The opponent develops their knight. b5: You attack the knight, forcing it to move. Knight to d4: The opponent places their knight in an aggressive central position. Bishop to f8: You move your bishop to f8, offering a sacrifice. Key idea: If your opponent captures your bishop on f8, they lose tempo and central control, weakening their king’s position and making castling difficult.

Si vous analysez cette partie avec Stockfish, vous verrez rapidement que les blancs ne peuvent pas gagner! Donc, vous pouvez sans problème jouer cette variante Contre Nakamura !

The trap is similar to the queens gambit

It's not pronounced England or Englund. It's more like N-glund. My favorite gambit but trash. I love the Halloween gambit for white as well. The mosquito thing though....how does it even count as a gambit?

What does it mean when you say we want to get the king in the most advantageous place? What makes it a better position?

I really like how he briefly summarises the line he went down before moving onto the next line

Hello solomon, it should be noted that the indicated gambit of the scandanavian gambit is called: "the icelandic gambit". It is indeed a very stong & lethal if it is played systematically. Thanks for your effort &have a pleasant day.

Have you heard of the goldsman variation of the Caro Kann(e4 c6 nc3 d5 qf3?) by any chance? I think you’d enjoy looking into it.

Nice Game. Yesterday i bought your course. After watching part of the first charpter, i decided to play some games. The first game was a Scandi and for the first time i had a clear plan against that opening and finally i crushed my opponent. Thanks and happy holidays from Chile!!

Thanks for this. I wish the reunification didn’t happen because look at the silliness happening now with FIDE. This is why monopolies are bad for any sport. Magnus and Hikaru could pull a Nigel and Kasparov and evolve the game of chess if they wanted to. They would have the support of the people.

Something I really don't understand is that if you use an analysis board and you play 1. e4 Nh6 The engine labels it the hippopotamus defence, any thoughts?
