In a video, years ago, you mentioned the sanding blocks. I bought them because they did exactly what I wanted! I have used them for many years and they have worked well. One block can be used for a long time. Also, the sticky mat is a great tool! I used to put temporary adhesive on the back of cardstock and that worked but the sticky mat works so much better! Thank you for this video and all your research, I will be looking into the other products you mentioned!

Thank you for another great video! I had been thinking about the Waffle Flower media mat. I appreciate that you added your recommendation for the mini over the full size. What I am most excited about though is the We R Memory Keepers The Works. Like a lot of us, I have tools that do most of the things it can do, and my initial reaction was to skip it because of that. Then I remembered how many times I've wanted to go out to my little vintage travel trailer to craft but didn't because I'd have to cart so much stuff out there. I might bring a card out to assemble, or images to color, and invariably I've forgotten something. If I just have one tool to bring out with me that can do so many different things, a whole new world of crafting opens up!!

@jennifermcguireink3 жыл бұрын
It's really a personal preference. They are different types of formulas. If you want to Clean them really well between uses? You don't need different brushes (Tim Holtz just talked about this in a live demo recently). But many of us prefer to keep them separate.

About the glass media mat - I’m not left handed but I’ve been using my mat backwards so the white is on the left side since I got it a couple of years ago, before the left hand option! It just works better for the set up of my work space that way. Just an idea if people were having trouble sourcing the left hand version :)

@pinkpinsofpain3 жыл бұрын
Numbers are upside down so this is not an option for us left handers. Shame on Tonic, and recently WRMK, for not issuing versions of their media mats for left handers simultaneously with right-handed versions. Tonic released a left-handed version well after the right-handed version and WRMK has yet to do so. Not sure how it is good business practice to omit left handed crafters.

Thanks Jennifer for your tips, love them all. I see you'll do an organisation vid soon which will be good to see, I need organisation so badly. One thing I've yet to see with any of the crafters I watch is a way to catalogue and easily retrieve the plethora of stamps and dies we have. I have organised my stamps in folders and themes but I still don't have the time to sit down and scrumage through the whole lot looking for just the right stamp or sentiment I need. An program that I can catalogue and index what I have will make short work of finding just the right stamp I require. Do you have or have you seen a program that can deal with this problem? Love to hear that you have! Cheers Tina in Australia

Great info here! I came up with my own version of the TH media mat because I had the supplies and I’m short on budget. I have a quilters mat (with all the grid lines on it) and a piece of glass over it (drawback is that the glass is not tempered and would not advised in a craft space that kids use.) For the blending area I just use a silicone mat. I also have a ceramic palette. Those little triangle trays are great! I got an order of 50 from Amazon for like $5! TYFS! ❤️🦋💜

They do the same thing. The ones with the curved edges are a little easier to use without getting hard edges with your inking. But if you are applying ink lightly and building it up you can get a good blend.
