Absolutely outstanding G Shock. The bluetooth feature (300 cities / auto 4x per day settings) is outstanding too. I use my B5600 almost daily. Perfect travel companion.

I love the bluetooth feature for travel. Blows every mechincal gm out of the water when it comes to ease of use for setting your time when traveling.

I have this gwb as well and it is my everyday since it came out. I always take others off and throw this one on, I love the screen. I recently swapped the combi with a 5000u resin for a change and I love it too.

I noticed LT at the top left of the watch screen next to PS. I believe this means that you have the automatic backlight operating which allows you to turn over the watch towards you when low light conditions exist, and the backlight will automatically turn on. I have this function on three G-Shocks, and it is great. As your example is solar, repeated use of the automatic backlight won't impact the battery too much. Nice that you have a unique model there.

Correct, it does have the auto backlight. Love that feature as well too.

I’m with you! Picked up this model when Casio released them as 35th anniversary series. I have never seen it on someone’s wrist thought am I the only one who bought this “underdog “? During years I bought many other watches including omega, breitling,certina, seiko, Hamilton etc. but whenever put these on…I’m thinking..why do I bother?! This is the only watch I ever need:-) really love them.

Some of the more modern protreks come with combi bracelts with more articulation and on the fly adjustment. You can also still buy them from Sakura watches, The following models I believe are combi bracelet PRW-61FC-1JF PRW-51FC-1JF PRW-73XT-1JF - I have a titanium Prw-70yt. Fantastic watch. 70 series has the most features of ANY protrek that I've seen. Its a spec monster unlike the Manaslu. PRW-50FC-1JF - can't buy day one but you can request it and they can source one. I think these combis are based off of the one found on a PRW-7000FC-1JF. An recently no longer produced protrek Id love to own if I could ever find one for a decent price. Id of bought it over my Prw-70yt but the bezel is black pvd....That stuff just scratches to easily. Plus the titanium 70 is 2 to 3 mm smaller.

I have the red display version of that model. Bluetooth is great for those few of us that live in the southern hemisphere. It's a great unit and I will never part with it. Thanks for the video.

Hi, I own the same watch, and as you it is my fav gshock (I own also a 5610, 5610U and a B5600MG-1). But, how did you manage to still have the clasp in a pristine condition ? The black paint is gone on the edge (I'm a desk worker (developer), so maybe it is the reason). Thank you for all the works put into your channel 👍

Im the same. What a do is paint on some nice flat/low gloss or flat model sealer or varnish. defiantly keeps the wear down. lol check a warhammer/citidel or hooby store for the paint on vs spray can stuff and give it a couple coats with a long time to dry in between. Dont do the whole clasp just the face wear it rubs

If you have more G's and like that Combi bracelet, the cheapie Ebay/Ali ones are totally fine for the price. You can get what, 8 or 9 of them for the price of one 'real' Casio Combi bracelet? The interwebs say the knockoff's aren't as durable/strong as the real bracelet but after putting 3 of them on a few of my squares and comparing them to the one authentic one I have, they're fine. No worries about durability because if whatever I'm doing is going to break/snap one of my knockoff Combi's, the bracelet will be the least of my worries. Will definitely be ordering more of them.
