I made this cube and got it on MTGO! It was awesome to see this archetype come together as I had planned.

This was a joy to watch. Memorable from the hundreds of other decks. Personally I loved seeing you forget to attack because you were so excited to Scourge of Nel Toth. Having a lot of fun is a great reason to miss a few insignificant points of damage =)
@CalebGannon
@CalebGannon 2 жыл бұрын
haha that's funny that I did that. I've been wanting to cast scourge of nel toth for months as I've been building this cube. First it wasn't good enough so I had to cut it, then months later I doubled down on dredge and re-added it but I just never got to cast it in testing. Idk why, but that dragon is just one of my favorite cards ever.

49:12 - Yet another reason to put One with Nothing into your cube! This has been my favorite deck so far by the way! I reworked my commander cube that I tinker with for fun after seeing this. Forgot how dope Scourge of Nel Toth was. Also I know you're busy with this -- and I'm loving it -- but did you have any plans to draft New Capenna?

Some real hot takes in your last few drafts - specific to Bazaar / Wasteland being better overall cards than various Mox's. I think you're speaking rather specifically to within your cube and within specific archtypes in it... which I could maybe buy. But broadly? Not sure on that one man. Keep up the content! One of my favorite things to listen to / watch while doing other stuff.
@daftwulli6145
@daftwulli6145 2 жыл бұрын
specificallyin draft I tend to agree. Draft decks often have a much weaker manabase , so wasteland can be devastating and cut them offa certain color for mutliple turns, and the ability to dig into your deck and put what you want in the graveyard from bazaar is amazing. Now if the mox is on color and you get it late then yea mox is better but an off color mox is basically a colorless mana. With how much mana decks produce these days it is less strong then it used to be in draft
@CalebGannon
@CalebGannon 2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on the archetype. A lot of decks in vintage just don't run off-color moxen. The hogaak/vengevine deck doesn't even run black lotus, but 4x wasteland is very common. I know part of that is metagame against collector ouphe/null rod but some decks just don't have much use for colorless mana.
@Spinefist
@Spinefist 2 жыл бұрын
I can't fathom why you'd ever run outcast in this deck, it's 1 mana 1/1 that can't block with essentially no upside.
@CalebGannon

I think being unblockable is definitely an upside?

@Spinefist

@@CalebGannon The way your deck wins here is more or less by comboing off, so not being able to block is pretty significant downside vs being unblockable (as you'll likely be winning hard or not winning at all, instead of just barely closing out the game). Although as Classic mentioned here, zombie type is important for gravecrawler, which does push it to playable here. Maybe it was ok to run it :)

47:04 "I just didn't draw right" is the lamest excuse in Magic. Not 'drawing right' precludes the notion that your deck probably just isn't built well because you need the perfect hand of 7 out of 40 to win.
