Just got off a north Wisconsin lake I only fish once or twice a year. Went deep rock at first and went hard. Wasn't until the last hour I tried a shallow weed flat with jigging spoons that I got that gold. Thanks to your tips I was able to salvage a day of fishing. Thanks Tom. Probably hire a guide next time though lol

Has anyone had troubles with the Piscifun Carbon X 2000’s having a what almost can be described has a hard spot in the bearings of the reel? Bought new, the reel gets sticky at a slower retrieve, having to almost forcefully crack it. At higher speeds it’s just fine. Lubrication issues maybe??
@krugs15884 жыл бұрын
I have one and works great. Sorry to hear your having issues
@andrewrice18064 жыл бұрын
I think I've got five of their reels and one of them has it for sure. To me it seems like a sticky spot when the spool is trying to move up and down. I haven't taken it apart yet but I'm pretty sure that's what is going on.
@Kevin-sq7nm4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Rice , definitely does seem like it’s on the up stroke of the spool and tends to get tighter if tension is applied to the line or the rod is loading up.

Tom just watched your video on weed edges and applied to looking at a map. How do you know what depth the weeds are at? Do you side image and find out then apply that to the map?
@erics6674 жыл бұрын
I put traditional 2D and down imaging in a split screen view and head towards shore, perpendicular, and watch graph. For me I found most weeds stop at 9 feet. You'll see it.

As always Tom, excellent info! One question I have always wondered is how much time do you spend looking for fish compared to actually fishing? And as a follow up, once you find fish, how big does the pod of fish need to be before you toss something at them?
@HuntsWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Great questions and both answered in multiple videos in the last 5 months. 1-2+ hours looking and doesn't usually drop unless there are 3-5 or more and usually on the move I barely hear his motor kill.
@DirtyJobsGuy14 жыл бұрын
Gabe Hunt ok, great to know! Then I should not feel bad about looking for fish over trolling areas that are “likely” to have fish!
