So I watched Tom play this for 7 minutes, didn't really understand it but was intrigued. Read the comments and saw many other people say how good this game is and got even more intrigued. Decided to play the demo and was blown away by the concept of the game. Not just the actual card play, but everything outside of that as well. Now I'm not sure if I want to watch the rest of the video or just play the game myself to avoid spoilers.

I remember feeding the survivors at the fire with a ringworm and then after that everytime I went to the bonfire that run the survivors were gone and I could keep resting up a creature risk free

Excepting maybe a specific circumstance, I don't believe they ever do eat your people. It's more of a narrative thing to reason the limit you to resting only one guy/once.

@@Force2reckonVods they do, in later runs you have the option of leaving your creature at the fire longer to enhance them multiple times, each subsequent buff has a greater and greater chance of consuming your creature and removing that card from your deck this run.

@@Force2reckonVods They eventually give you the option to use the buff multiple times with the risk of them eating it. Ringworm is a fun interaction because it kills them off if they eat it. You might not see it at all if you beat the act too quickly.

Bam! Tom another incredible recommendation! After watching this, I went and bought the game, I was having trouble and told myself 'One more try' and that ended up being the attempt I beat the whole game. I played it straight for a good 10 hours and this is easily one of the best games I've played in a long time. Thank you so much!

It sounds to me like you haven't played the whole game, if you think it doesn't get any creepier or weirder than this. That "Winner" card doesn't mean you won, there's a whole other tier of game past that if you solve all the puzzles in Leshy's cabin. For which reason I must tell you, any time the knife is an option in the loot spots, GRAB IT. Any time you have the knife in your items, USE IT. Eventually a really cool magic-looking eye will show up, that's the one you want, it helps you solve one of the puzzles, I'm pretty sure it's the most important puzzle in the process of getting to the *real* game behind Leshy's challenges.

I took the advice after the trapper fight, and you were right; I didn't regret it. Personally, I died... several times before reaching Leshy but, on the run I did, I had a pretty sweet double-deathless combo myself. One of them had the Hoarding sigil, so I got to draw my entire deck and summon whichever creatures I wanted. It was really satisfying beating him so easily after losing against the lesser bosses so much.
