The yellow bulb thing is really tricky. In order to see yellow reflection you have to stand at certain range and angle. it's really annyoing that you can't make yellow high beams yellow as easy as on other car makes.

You forgot to mention the APR plus pack they offer at the dealer. The only mod that WONT void your warrantee. And u have to get it from the dealer the day you get the car. Like have it ordered and in the car before you leave. Do you know how much they charge you for the APR PLUS? $2300.00. !!! And it's HALF of what stage 1 is. Ur gonna get MAYBE 40 more horse and 50 more torque. Don't quote me but I know the torque to hp ration was impressive if it would have kept going. But the APR STAGE 1 is the same deal but it costs only 800$ plus tax. This kid in front of me got an Apr plus the day I got mine. And he was happy. But I told him " u blow anything on that car that's REMOTELY In the neighborhood of the engine and VW THROWS coverage out the window. So if you're going to pay literally 3X that amount , you may as well SAVE 1600$ and get double the HP AND TORQUE than the PLUS. And just get the stage 1. It's mapped for low or high torque. And with the higher torque mapping they recommend that you replace the clutch bcuz of the higher torque. Which seems like a no brainer but it was not even 20 more FT/LB of torque. I wasn't dropped another 1350$ for a new clutch. I just got this one. So I have the 17 R w the stage 1. Manual and I love the car. Just the thoughtfulness that went into my car. Just VW has def brought their A game. Heavy hitters. Not like mustang and the other the sube I went to look at first. And it was just cheaply made inside plastics and cheaply made interior. Turned me off. Also my boy has one and the ride everyday is excessively punishing. Not as bad as the RS( ford) but bad that I would feel bad from the little potholed around there. Around NYC the potholed streets look like hand grenade testing sites!!

Buy a tool kit, a repair manual, and do a lot of it yourself. It's pretty easy to find a mechanics tool kits for around $50-100. The dealerships and places like Jiffy Lube mark things up just because it's "European". I use Rock Auto for most parts and oil. I bought an oil vacuum also, but it is good to raise the car and do the oil change from the bottom sometimes, but they've even vacuumed my oil at quick change places. Easier to change the oil in my Beetle and GTI than it was in my '96 Accord.

It's not like every Vw breaks down exactly at 100k miles... If you take care of your car and service it as needed, you shouldn't expect to have any problems, and this is about ANY car.

I bought a mk5 from a coworker couple of months ago for a really good price despite a check engine light (due to the thermostat but got it fixed) and timing belt needed to be done. It had about 145k miles when I got it and now it still drives just as good!!! Good luck with your future GTI!

Alexis Garcia my mk4 gti is at 285,000 bought it with 80k on it, no major repairs, no check engine lights. If you take car of your car it'll stay around as long as you need it. Unless you crash it

But the APR people are very helpful. They are also in the same place you bought your car from and may run into you in there. So they keep the relationship that I have built with them in good standing. Let's say I have an issue that is a gray area. And VW thinks that they caused this. The upgrade. And they say that there is no way. Etc they fix it and minimize the BS that you would def get piecing it together with a separate dealer and tuner place blaming one another for their workmanship. This can be avoided by going to a dealership that has their own partner company right in the premises. And they don't want to see you for life. I've Built custom cars for a long time. Have a shop in the 5 Boroughs. And this APR so far reminds me when mustang had something with stillen. You guys remember thayz👍 Was great until something happened. Either cheap gaskets or the bearing were breaking and flying around the engine and sheering off inside the engine. It caused all kinds of trouble and a lot of people had to sue to NOT have to pay fo a new engine etc. Hopefully this is well done. This coupling of the two. And lemme ask you. What is the total amount of the mods that you're rattling off of a grocery list from hell !! As far as money. If they got the plus. Which I didn't catch u say in this vid. Maybe u did one on another channel. I'll sub for sure. I would like if you could price list and compare. I have a lot of people I can send to your channel. They are all getting one or the other gti or R. And one just picked up a red Nurburgring edition of the GTI yesterday. Saturday. Saturday not yesterday. If you could include the prices why a rattling off the list of mods would be very helpful some people don't realize that module cheap or expensive in this case some of the mud you talking about are very expensive total and people want want to put it in the cars people like me are. Lol. And they need the car to start in the morning. And be street legal lol. I'll go into your archives and see if I can find more info. Thanks again.
