I definitely love the briogeo kiwi avocado mask as well as the shea moisture one which has been a staple in my collection for over 5 years. I recently got the AG hair snow mushroom mask and honestly I would say it's a contender with the briogeo one. My hair just feels so soft and smooth and the slip is incredible. I've only used it a few times but I've been reaching for it more than my briogeo. Although I prefer the scent of the briogeo one. Also fun fact the shea moisture doesn't have enough protein in it to be considered a protein treatment. The only proteins I found in the ingredients list yogurt powder and yogurt extract and they're like the 10th ingredient after a bunch of more nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, behentrimonium chloride, and glycerin. I would say it's more a regular hair mask and not really a protein treatment. I really like the briogeo rice water protein moisture treatment for that added protein but they recommend following it up with a hair mask or conditioner. My hair is mildly protein sensitive and doesn't react negatively to it.

I agree the bridges kiwi mask is a must have in my hair care routine. No matter how dry or tangled my hair is I just put the mask on wait 5 minutes and start detangling and it makes the process much easier. I would use the don't despair mask as a protein treatment. It smoothes the hair but I still prefer the kiwi one.

I love the brand new version of the Phyto Repair mask. Its an old french brand not sure how easily available it is in the US. Prefer it to the olaplex which i find weighs down my hair

Lovely video! One thing to be aware of is that Olaplex should never be used in combination with protein. There are some exceptions but very few. Both Olaplex and Protein „repair“ the hair if explained simply, but in combination they cause hair to become too brittle and will therefore cause more breakage because the hair becomes too stiff. This is often not taught by hair stylists and professionals as many people use both in combination (especially blondes or people that bleach their hair a lot) which results in people loosing a lot of length and hair health. Just a „quick“ PSA as your recommendations are always fantastic. :)

There are exceptions. Coarse, high porosity and very damaged hair can benefit from using both at combined

My favorite drug store brand mask is the Shea Moisture Intensive Moisture Mask . I use it like conditioner and it leaves my hair so soft.
