I do not mean to criticize however the install process is out of date. You now need to also mount a data folder to the container as of 0.14. Hope I was able to help

@@TechHut They did, on a sidenote they were quite fast to update the docs actually. I think it was just timing, the update was released only a few days ago and I assume you recorded this video just before the update was released. It's not your fault, these things just happen.

Yeah I'm planning on doing this. I'm not sure the exact route I should take. I'm debating between OpenMediaVault or just doing everything on a base Ubuntu install. Unraid is my personal preference but it's paid.

@@TechHut Wow wasn't expecting a fast reply! I love the vids, and it made me want to start my own home server! Currently struggling on setting the default volume to my external drive, but I am using ubuntu! Would love to see the video! I do have my old PC I am using to mention as well!

I just set it up, and at first I was like "I run all these services, I need a dashboard to be like the cool unraid kids" but now I have no idea why I even did it. slightly more functionality than my bookmarks bar.

@@jessepatterson8897 the more you use it and learn its tricks, the more you will love it. Before I knew Homarr existed, I simply used to create a WordPress page with many blocks and links inside each block. Now I can never go back.

Homarr looks nice, I like the docker integration and easy setup... but I can't leave homepage despite its more complex config file based setup, it's just so good.

sooo i already have all my stuff setup on windows and when i enter in example: jellyfin i use my ipv4 instead of localhost as i assume localhost would be the docker container but it cant access it or im getting connection refused. do you know how i can fix this?

Yeah, this is a cool project, but right from the get go I encountered a super annoying bug. You can't remove that big welcome message widget! There is suppose to be a delete button, but it just doesn't appear in the UI. I guess sometimes text config is superior, huh?

I used to use this, but it keeps messing up because of my window tiling, adjusting each was time consuming especially when I add a new service. Ended up moving to Heimdall

To clarify, you have Homarr installed on your NUC, but Plex container and deluge are on some other machine? Why not have it all on the NUC?

The only thing i cant to work is the Media Requests i got Overseerr. it keeps saying no requests found. Please ensure that you've configured your apps correctly

I cannot get the Media server widget to work even after making sure everything is working properly via the documentation. Do plex and other containers need to be in the same stack via portainer as homarr for the widgets to work properly? I would like to keep these seperate if possible because I have like a general purpose stack then a media stack.

Brandon, love your videos, but for the LOVE OF FRANK - It's PORTainer - PORT - the icon is a crane moving _containers_ like you would find at a shipping PORT. PORT, not PRO. I know it doesn't matter, but it's stressing out my dog, because I yell at the screen every time you call it PROtainer.

Homarr must be the most overhyped bit of homely software I've ever used. Many of the apps don't work, and the ones that do work are just a ping and a hyperlink to the container. Whoopdidoo. It's pretty pointless in my experience.

Great video and tutorial. Since Homarr has support, i assume it's possible to grab an UNRAID dashboard widget and display this along side other Homarr widgets? For example; the IPMI or Corsair PSU plugin dashboard?

I’m running a windows server using amp from cubecoders for games and plex, it’s been giving me a lot of issues as amp is a more Linux friendly setup. I’m new to dockers and how they work and want to switch over to Linux for better amp integration. But every time I try I have a shit ton of issues, current issue, system was working fine yesterday with plex. Today. Nothing. lol.
