Timber, you are an extraordinary human being. From episode 1 you stood out to me and you were the one I rooted for the entire season. I was sad to see you tap out but completely supportive and respected your decision. After watching this video, I respect you even more for your choice!! I've loved watching your KZbin videos. Being a fellow Christian, I cannot wait to meet you one day my brother in Christ.

This was awesome Timber, really appreciate all your videos, but especially this one. It was raw, emotional and pure truth. I thank God that you found healing out there, and I pray too that others who've faced a lot of trauma and death may also find healing and life as you have. I have so much love for our veterans and military. I've not seen combat, but the last 5 years or so has seemed to be so much defined by my losses and death in the family. I won't get into it much, but I lost my mom in '21 and nothing has been the same since. The world has felt much darker and colder, like it was black and white. Over the last year or so I've started to finally heal and find my life starting to be more defined by life rather than death, and things have started to be colorful again (that beautiful fall color you spoke about!). I'm not fully healed, but I'm getting there through prayer, Church, therapy, etc., and your story has helped me greatly as well. You are a blessing Timber, and I do very much thank God for you. Though we've never met, I do consider you as one of my heroes. Much love from your neighbor to the North, Michigan. ❤

Many words from my heart wouldn’t sum up how much I appreciate this video. First, thank you for coming to my home state, NC to sacrifice your time (away from family and that sweet newborn daughter) and energy to help. Second, My father is a 100% disabled veteran. He was a Navy Corpsman and served with 1st battalion 1st Marine Division in Vietnam. He watched many friends perish, saved many lives and was wounded multiple times himself. Growing up my father was my hero and best friend but he was always under a cloud of PTSD and severe pain. As an adult I’ve met and spoken with quite a few Marines he served with that still call him “Doc” and praise his heroism as life saving. My best memories are being with him in nature where he was most at peace. Thank you for your dedication to serve and support our veterans; so many suffer silently the trauma of their service to our nation and we all owe them great gratitude. Lastly so that I don’t write a book. The two most important conversations we as the human race can have are: In the whom our faith lies (or lack there of) and who we choose to preside over us. The two conversations that most people avoid; religion and politics. The nailed it in this video. We need to talk about what we believe openly and honestly without reservation and create dialogue. Regardless of what one believes, it will surface in that much time alone. 83 days alone with God in His creation is a treasure that no amount of money can take away. Thank you again. It’s been an honor to watch your journey.

What you said at the end reminds me of this Scripture: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 He saw you, and loves you, and smiled over you, and cherished you, and strengthened you, and knew that you would point others to Him as you glorify Him. 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you for your discussion about PTSD. It’s not just for combat veterans. I was seriously ill for a very long time. Misdiagnosed over and over again. And by the time the doctors figured it out, I had maybe a month left to live. And I had 10 years of hell leading up to it. I’m a loner so I was alone all that time. And what you said about the dam made a lot of sense. I was too sick to feel. I was too sick to dive into those feelings. And it took me years to recover emotionally. I feel like I’ve been through the worst of the PTSD now, but sometimes stuff flows over that dam again. The length of time I was sick left me with complications that wouldn’t be there had they just discovered things sooner. So there’s anger wrapped up in there along with long term suffering I went through. My health is an ongoing battle, but I’m a lot better now. I can function normally most of the time. Anyway your discussion of PTSD and finding who you really are again made so much sense to me. Thank you.

This video reminds me of Hank Greens recent video on Vlogbrothers, called "What I learned from the weirdest day of my life" (I would recommend you watch it) I've been realizing lately that I dont feel my life has started. I've felt like it won't start until I have land and a nonprofit set up, etc. It's so easy to have a goal/dream in life and get so focused on it that you lose your presence. But as you and Hank both said, when those dreams become a reality, it doesn't remove challenges from life, it just ushers in new ones. I really needed this video today. Thank you for making it and helping me to heal just a little bit more. ♡

Your faith in our Lord spoke and speaks for itself. Thanks for your good testimony of His faithfulness. Choosing to trust Him for meeting financial needs instead of trying to "do it yourself" speaks volumes of whose heart and voice you were listening to. Thanks so much for being a lot of encouragement to a lot of people.

Before I dig in to your videos, I want to ask you if the church your parents raised you in had any roots to The Move/Sam Fife/The Wilderness Movement. My Dad is an elder of the church located on the Alaskan Highway. He moved out there in 1973.

@@TimberAlone I and my family really appreciate you keeping God and Jesus the focus with family in mind. I have not seen your season yet. I came across your video on the bladed tools you used while looking up blade and bushcraft videos. I watch your videos and think “God I wish I had a friend like him.” I love you brother, God is good and knows what He is doing. You didn’t lose, you gained and God is using you and your story. Alone was just a platform for His plans for you. You are His and He is using you and your family’s story to reach more people. Do not stop. Keep going and keep sharing. Keep praising and giving God the glory brother. Praying 🙏🏼 for you and your family and all who come to your channel. Keep helping those in need. God bless you and your family. Jesus is coming soon 😉 P.S. Keep some of that chocolate dream cake for me 😂❤👍🏻 Reach out if you are ever in need. My Facebook Link - facebook.com/share/73ub1RNfe4VVwcS7/?mibextid=LQQJ4d

Matthew 6. 19-21. You have definitely stored up treasures in heaven by showing and sharing your faith to the world. You have probably changed more lives than you will ever know.I’m so happy for you finding yourself on the show. Earthly treasure means little but on judgement day you will find out Gods treasure in heaven means everything. Congratulations on your showing on alone. I was pulling for you to win in the end and I see that you did.

Timber thanks for sharing what's going on in Asheville NC and calling us to pray for those in need! Life certainly is not a game, but...Paul and Teddy Roosevelt did make good analogies of running the good race, and entering the arena. They weren't talking about being successful alone, but knowing thyself and serving others. In Ephesians, Paul talks about the New Man- Always give thanks to God the father for EVERYTHING,, and to remember that life is not about self, it's about submission-the standard for all human relationships....

I have a special place for combat vets because my Dad died as a chopper gunner, in Vietnam on May 23 1968. Also for law enforcement in the present situation. I would like to take them into the wilderness for seeking God and healing, like I have so many things myself. I go alone ( God with me) for a week about 2 or 3 times a year. In this present society, we don’t get this recovery like our ancestors did by living simple lives.

when I escaped Terre Haute Fed prison camp in mid February, 1990, i slept on frozen ground in just 4 layers of cheap cotton clothing and the army field jacket. Just a pair of cheap cotton gloves, cheap cotton socks. It doesn't take much of a shelter at all at 34F , rain and wind, if you have adequate clothing. On the alone show, it wont get that cold for a month and you'll have 5 sets of clothing, with debris between each layer of clothing. So the producer's 10xx16 ft tarp is enough shelter.

so true brother, God defines us by love, and His grace is enough. whenever we think we NEED anything else, we prolly wont get it. i thought i needed my wife and 7 kids to be whole, and they were taken away from me. in that time, our Father has blossomed my heart more than i could imagine and brought me closer to Him. this life is a journey to get back to God. these trials we face are to refine us in the fire for heaven. a silver smith takes silver and smashes it flat with a sledgehammer. then he sticks it in the furnace. then he beats it with smaller hammers and scratches it with abrasive pads. finally he polishes it until he can see his own face. may Yeshua see His face in us, brother

Listening to this is I drive to the Salt Lake City va. I'm going there to get help I hope. US Army infantry for 5 years. Your analogy about the damn, is very accurate. It feels like a beaver dam though it's got some leaks in it And sometimes those leaks hit you right in the face, and it feels like you're drowning.

the IRS and SS take HALF of your 500k prize, folks. 250k is nothing much, if you dont really know how to invest it. Most people who win 5 million at the lottery, it's all gone in 3 years. 10x as much. they can't seen to figure out that you buy gold coins with 1 million $ and scatter-bury those coins. If you have to dig up ANY of those coins, you go back to living a 30k (after tax) per year life style and you start traiining at being a sonogram tech, truck driver, etc. cause your days of living high are over-with.

he didn't crack the big bones, boill out the marrow, render it down, salt and preserve it. That means that he probably wasted the blood, too. He for sure wasted several days preserving a hide for which he had no use, as well as 200 lbs of meat that he had no use for. Itt's FAT that you need out thee, not dry old 500 calorie per lb moose meat. Baiting in a fat 250 lb bear to a tree blind, 10m away from the stake and log bait box, would have been a much, much better strategy,. That is IF he knew to eat the brain and organs, preserve the blood and marrow, and let the hide go to hell. A bear, fat for hibernation is 25% body fat. So, almost lbs of fat in the blood, marrow and fat, at 3500 calories per lb. 250,000 calories. That's enough to lose no weight for 80 days, if you just hole up in your shelter, or 50 days of being very active all day out in the cold, wind, and dampness. Either way, it's the win Build a stake and log box for the pile of fish, so that only a bear can get to it. Bears can smell a 50 lb pile of rotting fish for miles. They have to fatten up all that they can for winter, so you WILL get shots at bears from your tree blind, 10m from the bait box. Many more on this show have seen bearrs than have seen moose. Especially at ranges and in conditions that permit a good hit with a bow.

I retired with just 20k of saved student loans. folks. I lived in a van to save up that money, on the sales of my plasma. Food is free for the asking at churches and the SA mission. Clean up at a $20 per month, 24-7 gym. If you lack that sort of discipline, you'd have to win 500 million in order to retire, not just $500,000. If you really want to do something for your fellow man, give 25k each to Judiicial Watch and Gun Owners of America. They are doing a great job of holding off the elite scumbag wannabe Hitlers. If you're worth a hoot, I can show you how to retire in the US, very nicely on the investment of just 50k, and the profits there-from. It'll take 2-3 years and you''ll have to be actively involved, for those years. but there's no special skills involved, just a bit of knowledge that I can teach you in one weekend.
