Kris was a legend, the real deal. And, Don't Let The Bastards Get You Down.

It was so shameful that a protest singer got such hate at, of all things, a Bob Dylan tribute. Kristofferson showed what he was made of. I've always respected him for that.

We have sadly lost another all time great. I remember watching that show on TV and being totally stunned by the reaction to Sinead at a Bob Dylan tribute show. All due respect to Kris Kristofferson for walking out and showing support and solidarity to Sinead in the face of so much hatred, and yes Mazz she was so right.... RIP Sinead and Kris....

Good tribute Mazzy. I saw Kristofferson twice, both solo. The Disney Concert Hall in L.A. has perfect acoustics. He commanded the stage with the humility and grace of Gustavo Dudamel, who leads the Philharmonic there. He was cheered and applauded with every song. And every time he look out at the audience and said “thank you,” “ thank you very much.” We thank you Kris for sharing your gift with us.

Thanks for this, Mazzy. What a career and legacy Kris Kristofferson left us. Movies like Lone Star, music, songwriter, performer etc. A triple threat. And the author of Me and Bobby McGee. Sunday Morning Coming Down, For the Good Times, and so many others. A true artist and icon.

I remember watching Sinead's performance on TV and thinking it was one of the bravest things I'd ever seen. I think as she went into the wings she threw up. KK himself was no stranger to booing - at the Isle Of Wight festival - it was the one which became chaotic (Joni Mitchell's set was interrupted by a Charles Manson lookalike wandering onstage) - he was booed throughout - at one point he went into 'Bringing In The Sheaves' and he turned to his band and said, increduously, 'They're booing Bringing In The Sheaves'.

Heck yes Sinéad was so right. Sinatra’s comments were so stupid in that moment. I was so proud how Chris stood by her side, he understood and was one of the good guys. Sinéad was so powerful in that moment, she was never afraid to stand up and be counted. I remember how Bob Geldof and Bono (U2) both said they were ashamed that they never openly showed their support at that time and how they were wrong not to do so. Bob should have done, because it was his performance in which he tore up a photo of John Travolta on Top of the pops, that partially gave Sinéad the idea to do what she did.

Very good tribute Mazzy. The loss of Kris is mayor in the music industry, Sm many artists recorded his songs. As far as Merle Haggerd, he had a very long career. From the late 60's to around 2000, or so, Radio did turn there back on a lot of artists but that is the music business, I am not saying it is right.
