Michael Qissi's acting was very convincing as a real badass Thai champion but a fighter with openings like that wouldn't last a round..Not to mention that Sasha Mitchell was a really good martial artist.Funny thing in the first film Tong Po defeated easily the American champion Kurt Sloan.In real life Dennis Alexio who played Kurt Sloan would kill him so bad

Tong Po in this movie had went through brutal training to toughen himself a lot more. That's why he allows David to inflict so many hits on him at first. But you can see Tong Po block and dodge David's attacks like it's nothing once he stops toying around with him.

Don Wilson vs James Lew--one a professional fighter and the other a magazine cover level martial artist. One 's stepped in the ring. Fighting to the death using "Hollywood/sport movies". Not "kill movies" (which would have ended the scene in 3 seconds..but hey...add, they fight to the death and neither bruises or bleeds. Till the end when Lew dies. Kickboxer w/ Tong Po. Neither were ex-champions...more 80's cheese..heh...why would any one fight toe to toe against some one stronger? Hmmm...Dumb pep talk...and he gets up and is able to continue...kicks Tong Po's ass...ooook...suddenly he's faster than Tong Po and stronger....HUH???

Another good kickboxer was a tall Caucasian guy who played a rouge motorcycle rider on a TV series called "The Renegade" He could kick posterior in the ring but just didn't have that sure footed strong Norris style that looks and sells so well at the box office. let me tell you someone the kunfu stars don't like and was very under rated.... Van Dam. I've seen some of his training videos in his young prime. he come up with a round house, u better not be there. his training aid would have big glove pad on his hand, Van would kick it so hard it would sound like a gun shot on impact and the guy holding the thick mitten pad would pull his hand out of it in pain because it stung.so bad. I have not seen the likes of this From Norris, Wallace,Li,Kelly, White, Samo,Chan Segal, Bolo. not since Lee. Segal and Jamal White could not stand Van Dam ,Lungren didn't like him,either but the man was handsome, had the women, strong fast and good. In. the ring in their prime age I'm VERY sure he could beat Norris and White in the ring and my friend this is a very weighty declaration I have made indeed. Now of course Lee is better than all of them because of his experience and his tendon "Jen se chwa "speed and power this includes Brandon, they wouldn't beat Brandon either. Non of them. Can't compare Decal because he fights on a different plane very much in the supernatural. plz excuse my mispelling this time only.

@@Ladiesandgentlemen121 Lorenzo Lamas was the star of Renegade, & had black belts in both karate & taekwondo. However he has never been a kickboxer. He had only played one in movies/television. Also, most people--actors or otherwise--can't stand Seagal. But almost none of them have anything bad to say about Van Damme, they like him too well. Lundgren, contrary to what you wrote, enjoyed working with Van Damme enough that he did so in several movies. And nobody knows who the Jamal White you referred to is, so his opinion is worthless. As for the hand in the padded mitt hurting badly enough to take it out of the mitt, heck I've had thgat happen to me, & by a 12yr old girl. It just depends on how you hold the pad and the angle they kick it from. Hold the pad oddly & yes, that kick is gonna hurt. I had it at an odd angle because I didn't know how high she would kick it. Learned my lesson that day.
