It's a shame these episodes are rated so low on IMDb (7.9 & 6.0 respectively, compared to the >8.8 of the rest of season 6). The first episode was especially hilarious and fresh. But I guess I can agree that Part 2 loses the momentum and novelty, and the fact that they don't even reveal Eric to the rest of the cast is a bizarre choice too. Still, a very fun season finale

@Tarmachan5 ай бұрын
I loved the entire cast, but every time it cut to Eric I just didn't laugh. He wasn't funny to me, and I also had no idea who he was until I looked it up. The fact that he was also solely picking the winners sucked, I don't know if it's the way it was edited, but the people chosen didn't reflect who was funniest etc to me. But I get that we as the audience saw way more to judge from than just the group chat, so maybe that made the difference? Also, Rekha should have gotten something for getting everyone right first regardless of winning. The lack of reveal at the end also really killed the momentum for me, like what happened there? Just a weird couple of eps despite the god tier concept

The thing I most liken the ratfish himself to is that one new person joining a cards against humanity game in a friend group that all get each other’s humor and mesh really well, and then it gets to his turn to judge and he doesn’t understand ANY of the actual jokes, reads them out awkwardly without laughing, then gets to something in the general spirit of that TikTok of the pumpkin spice cream cheese and laughs genuinely hard, notices no one’s laughing, and makes the room have to pity laugh with him like they’re at a pizza party their toxic boss threw until he picks it and moves on. You don’t even know him well enough to know if he’s just not suited for this game, or this entire friend group. Probably both. Energy of a guy who would make a sexist joke and then go “what??? It needed to be someone that the cast didn’t know very well, so another cast member wouldn’t have worked. But maybe they could’ve gotten someone more generally well known or something. I’ve seen a lot of people saying it should’ve been Robert Reich, and that would’ve been funny

@tbow13gbr22 That would be funny! I feel like their guest is well known, since he is a famous comedian, but probably not to Dropout's main audience. I saw someone in a KZbin Shorts comment say that he would be someone that the Dropout cast would know, so maybe if they'd been able to have him in the reveal at the end that would've been fun? Idk, lots to consider! But I agree that they should be a comedian (or just an internet person) more known to their audience at least.

Ally not knowing how old Brennan is was probably my favorite part of this.
