I'd like to, but I'm having issues getting a lot of the mods to run on Windows 11. I was planning on doing a Legacy one for example, but some of the map assets seem to crash the game on my version of Windows.

Big fruit fan. I play an avallach portal version, it was good at 11 and feels amazing at 10. The easy access to 7,8,9 makes cyclops an amazing control card. I've never been a fan of aerondight here. it really locks your tempo into playing r1 win, r2 push, short r3. I think being able to play to your opponent's weaknesses is a huge part of midranges strength and appeal that aerondight just robs you of by creating a must get round control scenario. not to mention games where you realize you arnt actually a high tempo deck going second. to flatten my matchup spread I've been running triss meteor shower in fruits so I can play well in long or short based on opponent. also means round control isn't such a big deal or I can triss in long round 1 to bully combo. the amount of build diversity in fruits is alot of fun

Aerondight I didn't like at first either, but I found the extra control was worth it. Omen really plays into the R1 win R2 push you mentioned since I often want to open Omen R2. It does have downsides though and I can see why people would opt for other cards instead. You're definitely right about the variety of options though. Portal, Triss, and Cyclops like you mentioned are all great. There's also the small Construct package, Werewolves, and Morvuud. The choices to run are quite fun and let you change thikgs up based on the meta which is fantastic for a deck.

It is you just have to tell him what to hit and he listens occasionally. The rest of my hand was also relatively low tempo so I wanted to play Riptide anyway to keep up the pressure and hopefully force him to leave the round.

MO is my least favorite faction to play but when it comes to MO gameplays, I really enjoy them (idk why), especially White Frost, Ogroids or Fruits of Ysgith.

Fruits, Frost, and GN Deathwish are the Monsters deck I have the most fun with. I think a lot of MO decks are either too polarizing gameplay wise for me (Viy, Witches Sabbath, Tatterwing, no unit Deathwish). That or I like them, but they play too similarly each game and find myself wanting to try different things (Vampires, Ogroids, Deathwish, Harpies).

@platinumpatrol2964 for me Monsters are just not my type of playstyle. I enjoy control decks such as Skellige Pirates, Syndicate Crime, Nilfgaard Constructs and so on.

The nerf to Open Sesame! really limits what I wanted to make, and I recently did a Bounty video which is what got buffed in SY. I do still want to test something with Sigi and Ceaser though.

@@platinumpatrol2964 The BC results and the META nowadays is incredibly cancer. I played the game after a while to try out bounty and climb back from Rank 5. Literally almost all games are fuckin NG. The same bs mill stuff too. Just open up the game hoping to play against a real faction, only to have to survive against NG and close. It's so infuriating I honestly wish you could just pick a faction to not get matched against. Growing up is realizing NG is a net negative for Gwent. I had 2 non-NG games with SK and ST, figured finally, some normal gameplay. And they were both Modoc dragons. Wtf's happening with this game anymore man. Ps. Yep Caesar's pretty good. With Sigi+Beggars+Madam. It climbs quite consistently unless you get as bad draws as I habitually do. I didn't use Sesame though, it's not really necessary imo.

@@zydrate5098 From what I understand the obnoxious NG shenanigan decks are most common at lower ranks. NG is usually the faction I play against the most but it's only ~20-25% of my games and the decks are usually Shupe/Renfri Midrange or Aristocrats. There are some Mill and Clog too, but it's nowhere near as prevalent in my experience as I hear from other players at about your rank. I don't think there's a way to address it since a lot of the annoying NG decks aren't actually top decks, but they are popular anyway and cards in them have been nerfed already, especially in Mill. Kind of like Reavers in NR. I do understand the frustration though as running into a bunch of polarizing decks is super annoying, even if it usually happens to be a streak of Witches Sabbath nonsense for me.

@zydrate5098 people enjoying playing meme NG decks like mill and clog but thankfully they are incredibly weak now - if you can get through to higher ranks and pro I guarantee you’ll see those so rarely and when you do you’ll just take the free mmr

But you're right I usually encounter this stuff at rank 3-5, but even in my active days when I hover around rank 2 it's far more prevalent than it has any right to be. You're also right in that you often win against those decks, but it never feels like it because it's just ass to play against. I'm just grateful to have survived and annoyed that I'm having to put up with this sh*t when I'm supposed to be playing my deck and having fun. I wanna just forfeit every NG game but that'd just get me sent down to rank 20 with every game being NG.

Yes, I made a video with Omen before and I also really enjoyed it. This is the refined version (other than Ghoul obviously) I made after a lot of experimentation over the following seasons.
