My Favorite OBDeleven Apps and Features for the Mk7 GTI

This is such a cool little tool for the Mk7 Golf GTI and plenty of other models as well. It's a great way to code out retrofit additions like LED bulbs and headlights as well as adding fun features like fog lights with DRL and window functions.

Pretty sweet. I use Carista which is sub based rather than points based but was free for first month so did all the bits I wanted and stop the sub before it start costing.

Do you always leave the obd eleven plugged in for all the functions to work or can you plug it out and Still have those functions?

Hi Jackson! Cool mods with the OBDEleven! My VAG Skoda Superb already came with the passenger mirror dip when reverse is engaged - I find that very useful. I love the windows/roof action mod - very useful returning to the car on a hot day - let all of the baking air out of the cabin before getting in to the driver's seat. One mod I would do is rear lights on when DRLs on. Useful in tunnels of which Switzerland has a lot. Did you say it was possible to do the mirror dip with the NC? How does that work? Or did you mean you use the NC's mirror when reversing? Interesting about the Soundaktor delete. All the best to you and thanks for the video! Rob in Switzerland

I use the NC mirrors since the car is so low it is easier to see the lines in the parking lots

thanks good vid...so is it safe to install the apps with the engine running instead of just ignition on? As you said some apps wont install if battery charge is low...”battery voltage is low, ensure battery charger is connected and try again” message comes up...

Hi. Is there a way to adjust the brightness of the DRL normally? Just my drivers side one is more dim than the other one for whatever reason and was just wondering if there’s a way to fix it through the OBD11. Been back to where I got the car but they’re no help.

I don't think that's how it works. You might need a new headlight

Hi..you are using credits to do the apps? So if you say spend credits to change soundaktor off and then you want to change it to 20% is that more credits. Ie if you pay credits to do a nod can you undo it for free?
