Thank you for sharing your favorite parenting books 😊 I thought you gave very thoughtful reasons for recommending each. Balanced and Barefoot stood out to me. I hope that I can check some of these out. I have two little ones (3&1) and one on the way also. 😊

I love Balanced and Barefoot, I actually recently reread it to motivate myself to get outside with my kids more again :) you have the perfect ages for a lot of these books! Congrats on the one on the way! We're basically in the same boat haha my daughters are just turning two and four and we're having our new baby in August :)

The minimalist book looks great too! We try to purge regularly and not buy too much stuff. It’s hard with kids because other people buy them things. I’ll have to read that for ideas. We love Dave Ramsey! My husband used to teach Financial Peace University at our church. We found him the same year we got married and his book really helped us get out of debt and make smarter financial choices. It is probably why we were able to afford adoption. So it was great!!

I know! My husband is a natural minimalist, but I have to be a lot more conscious of it, especially with kids. It's definitely been a continuing journey for me and I know it just gets harder as they get older. Hopefully we can set enough of an example that our kids will learn the benefits of minimalism young :) I love that his plan helped you afford adoption! I love how much freedom and how many dreams he helps people find. We've never taught his class, but we love watching/reading everything from him. We're currently trying to pay off our house super fast because of his teachings .

You may want to consider books such as *personalised childrens books* then - i find these to be very educational gifts too while their young

Thank you! I added some books to my reading list. The sleep training book is great and I used his method and. Ever had a problem with my kids no sleeping well. So I recommend it!

Amazing review! I will definitely be coming back to this video and choosing a few of the books just before I become a parent (especially The Read Aloud Handbook). As you have read an extremely large amount of parenting books, with the benefit of hindsight, would you now recommend choosing a handful of books (five or so) and really absorbing and implementing the principles in those, or reading a whole bunch, like yourself, and getting more of a broad understanding?
