You have helped me soooo much throughout my natural hair journey....every since I've started prepooing and being diligent with my wash days. my hair has flourished. I also changed my mindset throughout the process and grown to fall madly in love with my hair. I appreciate my hair for what and how it is. Non curly fro 4c to my soul. My daughter as well I teach her to love her hair as it is...we always say your hair is AMAZING! It's our little thing. 🤣 So I'm super excited to here what your favorites are.

Two i used to love were from Shea Moisture: their Purification Masque and the Balancing Conditioner---both from their African Black Soap line. They were AMAZING 😍 the slip was everything and they glided through my hair !! Of course since they wanna be whack and have ingredient changes, I don't really use those these days. The conditioner still works for me when I have used it since, but the masque I just stopped since it looks completely different now . I do have a few I'm testing out (including the African Pride one ) , but I'll make not of the others bc I really trust your recommendations!! Like since I've started using pumpkin seed oil on my hair the last few months, I've had so much less breakage and shedding!!

@soundreign23195 жыл бұрын
I just purchased the African Pride pre-poo and I plan to use it during my upcoming wash day. Since the African Pride pre-poo is water based and the first ingredient is water, do you feel that you experience more breakage when detangling with this in your hair? I wanted to check because I just learned that detangling hair when it’s wet causes a lot of breakage because it breaks the hydrogen bonds, which leads to weak hair, which can lead to breakage if the hair is manipulated while this bond is broken. It’s said that oil is best for prepoo, but I have yet to find a oil (I’ve tried coconut, almond, olive, avocado, jojobo, and castor oils individually) that allows me to detangle prior to shampooing my hair without hearing my hair snapping off😳.
@jeanettejbeauty63745 жыл бұрын
I find because it also has aloe it helps with moisture and this pre-shampoo has A LOT of slip. I don't find my hair breaks because of the slip in the products. I do have to apply a significant amount though

I’m hating on you right now. Them braids or looking so nice on you. I’m doing protective styling for the year and I am going to try to recreate this style. My hair is thin so they won’t look as thick as yours (I wish). Also again I have thin hair but I have found pre poo so helpful to my hair and my baby’s hair. I use moisturizes and not conditioners. Conditioners irritates our scalp and oils can be to heavy for our hair. So hair milks and leave-ins on the thick and cheap side have been working great. Love your videos and thank you for making your favs. Hugs later

Does African pride work on low porosity hair? Never tried it but I really do want to give it a chance. I'm getting my hair products from Ebay. Even mielle organics deep conditioner 😂😂😂 2 jars cause my hair is thick and still under my box braids so I'm trying to leave my braids in until February but I'll remove them at the actual end of February. So do you think African pride is good for colour treated hair? And what's your opinion on Mielle's organics deep conditioner cause I heard it makes the hair tingle because of the peppermint 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

Praying for you, your son & family! 🙏🏾 Our black children are under attack.Nothing is scarier to those that would see our people destroyed, as an EDUCATED BLACK MAN.. OR WOMAN for that matter!!...I know from experience!! I too have a son, he is a 20 yr old Jr. in college, at the university of his dreams!! Praise God!! 🙏🏾🙋🏾♀️ The road was not easy, he was a G/T student and was constantly under attack & bullied & when he would stand up for himself..he would get in trouble...NOT ON MY WATCH!! This was in elementary..I stayed at his school..we lived in a small town in Texas..smaller than the one now..East Texas is very racist..I guess they thought they were dealing with a family that would let that slide..Until I threatened with suing the school and bringing in the Natl. Education Agency & anyone else I could think of. We moved back to my hometown when he entered Jr high..he was happier, was involved in extracurricular activities..he graduated #13 in his high school class out of over 400!! Continue to be an advocate for your children!! Prayers for your family! 🙏🏾 #MiraclesAndBlessings 💖😊

Well, apparently you may not be the only person who is purchasing 8 jars of the African pride pre-poo, at one time. None of the stores in my area, ie Walmart, Sally Beauty, Dollar General, or Chinese Beauty supply store had that pre-poo on the shelf. If you like a product, there may be others who like that product, too, and maybe those people only need one jar, at at time, but because you needed 8, at at time, others may have to go without, or will have to make an alternative purchase. This reminds me of the Dollar Tree KZbinrs, who brag about going to all the Dollar Tree stores in their areas to buy ALL they can find of a product that they like. I guess I will purchase that pre-poo online, since store supply is always so limited.
@jeanettejbeauty63745 жыл бұрын
